Gun control debate (merged)

The nra lol šŸ˜†

Go ahead and get rid of the NRA we can push GOA to the forefront. Or better yet the JPFO.

The likes of EL and Looth want to celebrate the downfall of the NRA without realizing that's what would happen. As far as actual gun rights are concerned that's set up like being a Patriots hater and celebrating Drew Bledsoe being injured and the Pats having to go with some no-name guy named Brady.

I support getting rid of the NRA but not by some political hack AG.
Yeah, the membership will kill it or change it they're not happy. Having a liberal POS AG try to tear it down will do nothing but strengthen it.
They won’t get another penny from me until there is a leadership change. I was encouraged by the Ollie North push but nothing changed. So I’m done until they flush the grifters and get back to basics. They do that and I’ll re-up.

And like others said the GOA is looking at this and be like...F6CA44D3-BE20-4177-8770-E08FE5369EBE.gif

I've never been a fan of LaPierre. However anyone who thinks this is a good thing if the NRA goes away is naive. The left will double down on getting rid of what ever is left like GOA or other and they will do any and everything to go after the 2nd Ammendment.

If they can't go after the guns they will focus on the manufacturers and ammo by trying to tax ammo to make the guns obsolete a $5 or $10 tax per bullet/shell.

Which is why it's hard to find common caliber ammo unless you pay double or triple usual price. People are stocking up and there are probably hundreds of thousands of people sitting on more than they typically use in a decade. Add in the reloaders and the numbers of people who could ride out an administration or two are staggering. Also, this is a defense year for the Rs in the senate. If they lose it this year, they'll get it back in 2022 and we return to gridlock.

Agree,. We need every gun rights organization strong and viable. The more I read of the lawsuit filed by the NY AG the more I’m thinking one or more of the NRA board members that resigned last year may have turned whistle blower.

Actually it seems unlikely that the NRA would truly "go away" but the point being made is if money donated is more efficacious for the cause in places other than the NRA then it is what it is until they get their feces together.

Ammo taxes have real issues if trying to be leveraged into a "sin tax". Constitutionally ammo is inseparable from the guns that fire them. As soon as it can be effectively argued that a tax can be "onerous" it won't pass muster. And that's backed by the 14th equal protection clause in that such cost burdens would be especially descriminatory for the poor.

You know after my two AR 15 fully semi automatic black assault rifles climbed out of the gun safe this morning and poured a cup of coffee for themselves we talked about this. This could be the catalyst that gets rid of LaPierre and his henchmen and refocuses the NRA and that would be a good thing.

And I can’t wait to read the lawsuit to see how a ā€œcorporationā€ committed fraud šŸ˜‚
Worked for Wounded Warrior.

Even though I’m still an NRA member, I’ve became disenfranchised with them since their piss poor effort at the state level. Oliver North sounded the alarm on their spending issues but LaPierre won the power struggle. Maybe the NRA needs a good cleansing. I’ve put my $ and support behind the GOA and TFA as of late.
I became a life member over 20 years ago, haven't given them a dime since.

Nice .. now we hear the truth finally , the new word power phrase is ā€œ assault weapon(s)ā€ this will include all semiautomatic firearms with interchangeable magazines . Dirty azz gun grabbers will make the majority of this country criminals before it’s over just from trying to do end around our 2a. right .
So cops will be shooting people with assault weapons.

Better chain down your .22 pistols boys and girls, those are assault weapons.

So he wants to ban the so called ā€œassault weaponsā€ and ban the sale of ammo and gun parts online. Being Walmart no longer sells handgun ammo and that deadly assault rifle bullets, folks are gonna be hard pressed to find ammo locally at a decent price. Better get supplied with reloading materials. As if any of this rubbish has any chance of passing.

It’s already tough to find amo thanks to the record gun sales.
