You folks seemed quick to agree with Trump's statements on Biden's religiosity, which is just as absurd as LG's about Trump. Surely there isn't a double standard happening here.
There is a difference in having policy differences and directly saying a known Catholic hates God and religion. Trump might want to lay off this line of attack. Unless he speaks for all of Christendom.
I'm saying I don't like commenting on it at all. It is low brow, weak, and a completely stupid argument to try and make. Trump shouldn't have gone there about Biden. People shouldn't go there about Trump either.I am commenting on Trump's level of authentic religious belief (or lack thereof) because Trump bright it up. In Court, we call that opening the door.
President Donald J. Trump Is Committed to Building on the Successes of the First Step ActI am prepared to forgive him if he renounces himself and everything he has done, and resigns.
Some voters will hate it. Others will love it. Seems like a really dumb ass tactic from Trump to me. Yes, the self-professed Catholic wants to destroy God and religion. I mean, it is obviously absurd. But just you wait until the masses on VN start liking it.That clip, used in campaign ads, will be kicking him in ass all the way to November. Truly religious voters will not be able to shake the cringe off of that one.

I'm curious in a way to see how folks on the board react to Trump saying someone hates God and religion, when they clearly don't. I know we have some Protestants on the board. I wonder how they feel about an authority figure defining the tenets of religiosity for another person. It's not even the words, that I think will hurt him, so much as his obvious desperation being on display. He's going to take a hit for it, regardless. But, I'm sure you're right about it being defended and rationalized.
It was wrong there are just some things you do not say (for most). Tomorrow will bring more blunders from both men that will overshadow the one's made today.I'm curious in a way to see how folks on the board react to Trump saying someone hates God and religion, when they clearly don't.
