Yeah, I believe what I said. I don't believe he's ever been particular articulate at making his point, and often speaks as if everyone automatically should get his gist.

I guess he could make someone upset, but doubt it would be intentional.

I doubt he'd say Nigerian immigrants won't to go back to their huts, or all Haitians have AIDS, or something like that.

Plus, if you listen, there is a long pause after he says African American (so insert a comma).

He said “the first” and then said it was a “storybook”. He was indeed implying it was rare.

I wasn’t trying to start an argument about it, and there is really no need. Because you made my point. Democrats who thrive on division politics and are quick to use the racism smear are insincere.

They will quickly rationalize racism when it comes from a Democrat.

He was obviously implying it was rare to have a mainstream African-American as a legitimate candidate in the democratic primaries (which was true). He went on to add that the fact that he was so articulate and bright and clean and nice-looking made it even more story book.

Kind of like when people said JFK being young, well spoken, and nice looking accentuated the fact that he was the first legitimate Catholic candidate.

If I thought his intent was racist, I'd say so, and I doubt he would have been Obama's VP if Obama had thought so.

I'm not so quick to claim racism, but if I think something is, I may call it out.

I'm impressed at how you guys can tie yourselves into a pretzel defending blatantly racist remarks that if made by a Republican you would have the torches and pitchforks out for.
