The question was on if he supports reinstating Temporary Protective Status for immigrants seeking asylum, where he drew distinction of how Latinos have more diverse and often conflicting views on seperate issues than the Black Community.

“Yes,” Biden said when NPR’s Lulu Garcia-Navarro asked if he’d “reengage with Cuba” on the topic.

“And by the way,” he continued, “what you all know, but most people don’t know, unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.. you go to Florida, and you find a very different attitude about immigration in certain places than you do when you’re in Arizona.”

No, I'm saying those words don't match the intent. He is certainly not the first African American, neither is he the first African American with all those positive things postceding.

If I were to write it as intended, it would be. "As a political figure, he is the first Mainstream African American who has captured such excitement... he's articulate, bright and clean, a nice looking guy. He's a storybook figure.

If you want to believe his intent to say he was the first clean and articulate African American, by all means, do.

I'm not sure anybody knows what was going on in his mind. It was just a bizarre response to an inoccuous question The girl he said it to is actually a student at Mercer University here where I live.

I can't wait to see y'all defending Biden the way the Trumpers do when Biden offends 1.4 billion Chinese with an ignorant racist statement. Or some African country. Or the population of some majority African American city.
