I will ask again. Is there historical basis for this thought process?
Because to me if you want more it speaks of confidence.
Yes, there is. You have to look at it this way. The Trump campaign kept saying that Joe wasn't going to debate, although they had already agreed to 3 debates. The Trump campaign decides it needs more exposure before the early voting starts, and starts calling Joe afraid to agree to another. This was their strategy to label Joe as scared, while scrambling to gain some advantage.

Joes not scared . Joes campaign managers and the DNC are the ones pulling the strings and keeping him hid out from non scripted questions . This isn’t rocket science, the less Joe is exposed to the public “unscripted “ the better his odds are .
Okay, this was my post about the Rasmussen Reports poll on Monday which showed Donald Trump's approval rating at 51%. I said it was just a way for them to tease the Trump base with exciting news, while creating attention for themselves (because Trump always tweets their results whenever they are favorable - sure enough, he did again on Monday). I also said they would have to drop Trump back down to where all of the other polls have him by the end of the week. It's only Thursday, and Rasmussen Reports now has Trump's approval rating at 46%. They have dropped him 5 points in 4 days despite no significant news developments that should cause such a shift. This is how Rasmussen does things. They are not a legitimate polling service. Their main purpose is as a marketing firm for the Republican Party... but I guess that we can count on Trump tweeting their poll again today, right? LOL.LOL! Again, you are focusing on one poll - Rasmussen Reports... check the average approval rating for Donald Trump among the polls showing as current on Real Clear Politics and you will see that Rasmussen Reports approval rating for Trump (51%) is over 7 points higher than his average of polls on that site (43.7%). That 51% on Rasmussen Reports also happens to be 6 points higher than what literally any other poll is currently reporting for Trump's approval rating (Emerson is the next highest at 45%), which makes Rasmussen Reports an outlier poll by anyone's standard of measurement.
But I guess that polling data is trustworthy and significant whenever their results are favorable for Donald Trump though, right? Will Rasmussen Reports still be valid when Trump's approval rating goes back down, or will they return to being "fake news"? Because Trump's approval rating will go back down on Rasmussen Reports by the end of the week. That is just how they do things. They tease.
Not unreasonable sounding.I believe he wants to get one in before the mail in balloting starts. It’s not for an additional debate, per se.
Trump campaign requests earlier debate date to get ahead of mail-in ballotsPresident Donald Trump’s reelection campaign wants his first debate with Joe Biden to be held earlier to account for the shift toward vote-by-mail amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani has pushed for an additional debate to be scheduled earlier in September, before voters start sending mail-in ballots. In a letter on Wednesday to the Commission on Presidential Debates, Giuliani requested that the currently scheduled final debate be moved to a date in early September if a fourth debate is denied.
Giuliani said the current debate schedule failed to account for the altered campaign timeline caused by the pandemic. Several states have moved toward mailing ballots to voters to avoid contagion at in-person polling places. But as delays plague the U.S. Postal Service, voters are being urged to request and send in their ballots as early as possible. Giuliani said having the debates after the first voters send their ballots would amount to disenfranchisement, and he called the current schedule an “outdated dinosaur.”
Racist Joe strikes again. I’ve pointed out Biden’s troubling history with bigotry. From racially tinged comments all the way to outright racism. Black people are poor, all think alike, dirty, and inarticulate. All sloughed off by Luth, LG, etc.
Yeah, I guess should all vote Trump,, because "What the hell do they have to lose"?
Exactly right. Biden has been in office for a lifetime and all Black people have gotten from him are insults. What has Joe Biden done for black people? He just expects their vote.
There really is nothing to lose in a worse case scenario.
No, it's not rocket science, one campaign is begging for another debate, while the other is sitting pretty.
