Growing up in Nashville and being a Vols fan can be painful at times with the "out of the woodwork fairweathered fans of Vandy" gettin in your face when they beat us is not a good thing. A quick history lesson in the series against Vandy. If you notice in the Series Vandy was kickin our a$$ early in the series.

The General was hired to do one important thing and that was beat Vandy. If you notice leading up to 1926 Vandy's record against us was 2 Wins 17 Losses and 2 Ties.

After The General was hired in 1926, our record has been 67 Wins 10 Losses and 3 Ties.

I would say mission accomplished.

Thanks for the info, '05 was miserable losing to them at home on senior night, I care more this year about beating Kentucky just to keep the streak going, but losing to Vandy would certainly make my stomach hurt something awful.

Throw the record books out the door for this one. In fact throw them out for this whole year.

Was the '87 game the one that UT had to mount a huge comeback against them when Watson Brown was the coach? Back in those days, it seemed like maybe Vandy was about to turn the corner.

we were getting drilled that game I believe 36 - 14, before we made the comeback. Eric young? I believe was the QB. Vandy had heisman posters made for him that year.
