2020 Presidential Race

I'm perfectly willing to support a viable 3rd party candidate.
What I'll never be willing to do is fail to cast a vote when I prefer one viable candidate over the other.
That wouldn't be licking a turd, that would be willingly eating a turd.
But you do you.

The respective wingnut bases who hate the other guy more than they like their guy are the problem. 3rd party is what this country desperately needs and what the majority of Americans want, but as long as they have the line of thinking that it is a cast away vote perpetuated by your line of thinking they won’t do it.

I always vote 3rd party. Some of us are just ahead of the curve and actually think for ourselves and vote our conscious.

If the Dem or Rep party truly represents your beliefs more than anyone else then great for you. If you are doing because of the lesser of two evils, I’m sorry to say, you are the problem and the one wasting a vote.

Like I said. I'm all for a viable 3rd party. I have always and will continue to vote for the viable choice that best represents my interests. If I were to ever conclude that my vote would be more impactful toward achieving my ultimate goals by voting third party, I would not hesitate.

so continue to throw your vote away to prove a point, because no candidate passes a purity test.
Only way to throw away a vote is to vote for someone you dont actually support.

As in actually support. Not the one you can tolerate slightly more than the other.

Most of our nation has been throwing away their votes as they let the Ds and Rs control the system.

Again, there will never be a viable third party with your line of thinking. So this is a completely worthless stance. IMO you need to nut up and vote your conscious or shut up with the silly platitudes.

If you aren’t voting third party, you aren’t serious about it, it’s that simple. If Dem/Rep is truly what represents you the best regardless of viability, then congrats.

When you put it that way....rational thought?

There is still a lot to be seen, BIden's VP, cabinet choices, etc.. We know who Trump has surrounding him, and if anyone can stomach pulling a lever for more of that. Well, nothing I say will change anyone's mind.

The dementia thing, I'm doubting it, but think we will be seeing more than enough for people to make a verdict, relying on more than conjecture and sound bites. It'd take a whole lot of fumbling words for me to think my choice is not rational.

I'd offer this conjecture, If the only words Trump could say were "Fake News" he'd still get 20% of the vote.

VP is all you'll know and that will be the potus in <2yrs. No one votes for cabinet picks

No candidate for potus has ever been this silent so late in the race. And when he does speak it's a jumbled mess. There's a reason he's being kept away from anything other than short, prepared remarks

And no questions.

Well, to date, the dems. have always represented me more than any third party, so it's been an easy decision. Should a 3rd party ever represent me more than either major party, I'd have to weigh the options.

By the way, I have always voted my conscious; anything short of that is indefensible.

Yeah, but people can vote against cabinet choices, although I'm not limiting to just that. Just look his appointees, and those serving without intent to be confirmed. Postmaster General stands out as an example of what another Trump term will have to offer.

I can't say for sure he doesn't have some cognitive decline, but his events taken as a whole, don't even come close to incoherent. We'll see more, and I'll try to be honest about it.

At least I have hopes that Biden's staff will be knowledgeable and not ego stroking enablers.

You're probably right, I should probably vote based on each candidates choice for postmaster general

Joe Biden Delays his vice presidential pick by TWO WEEKS amid worries process has become a Mess that has pitted women against women

Joe Biden has delayed naming his vice presidential pick by two weeks amid worries the process has become a mess that has pitted women against woman.

Biden said last week he would announce his running mate the first week of August but that appears unlikely to happen this week as he hasn't narrowed down his pick amid pressure to name a black woman.

But now that's been moved back by two weeks, The Washington Post reported, amid worries from Biden supporters that the process has become 'messier than it should be,' pitting women - and especially black women - against one another.

The delay indicates there is no clear favorite among Biden or his allies to be his running mate.

Obama chose Biden to be his Running Mate on August 23rd. The only people in a rush are the media and the RNC.

Well, let's see here ... from April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, the CDC estimated that there were 12,469 deaths in the United States from the H1N1 pandemic. Since March 1, the CDC estimates that over 154,000 deaths have resulted in the United States from COVID-19. It seems like H1N1 was pretty well-contained in comparison.
