These kids need to realize it’s a privilege to be able to play college football. I would have done anything to play at a place like Tennessee and leave college debt free with an opportunity to make millions in the nfl. Not to mention they get a stipend as well now. There are millions of kids who would love to have their spots.

I'm not against the idea of a stipend since they are not allowed to have jobs, but it should be reasonable.
They have one now. Got a friend who was a kicker for a big10 school and he said he had plenty of money. The ones that dont are spending it on stupid stuff or a bunch of kids.

College football leans to the right pretty hard. Make it woke and political, and it will end up costing those who benefit the most.

It isn't a welcome truth, but IQ is a great predictor of earning potential. Football/sports is a great place for those with physical gifts to stand out in a world increasingly biased toward those with mental gifts. Talking that away further tilts the field in the wrong direction.
IQ is racist. Ain’t ya heard?

Lol this was never going to end well

@Devo182 explained it pretty well earlier. The athletes were basically presenting the schools with a Sophie’s Choice of operating the season at a loss or cancelling the season. I’m not shocked to hear that some schools might be taking option #3: call their bluff.

All this real life stuff that happens to other demographics, has @Bassmaster_Vol, @Catbone and the several other posters showing their true colors...it’s pathetic

But also good...When the grass is cut, the snakes will show🦉
I don't know how tall you keep your grass, but when I cut mine, the snakes usually get cut if they're stupid enough to stick around.

So apparently the kid was opting out of the season so this might be why he was asked to clear his locker. Sounds to me like the family is making it something it isn’t.
It’s part of the Pushback. Players felt emboldened with the Chuba Hubbard OAN incident with Gundy apologizing profusely and losing a mil a year in salary. That was TIMING. Everyone was preemptively apologizing for any perceived insensitive action. Gundy apologized, Drew Brees apologized...that crap rode it’s cycle. When things burned and people died no matter what? People started bucking and running over people bashing in their windows. Washington State and their new coach may have handled these kids threatening a boycott clumsily, but don’t mistake it as unique. Watched Godfather II the other day and this reminds me of the early opening scene with the Nevada Senator. “My offer to you is this...nothing! Not even the fee for the gaming license...which I would appreciate you donating yourself.” Whatever your opinion, when you demand 50% you get some Michael Corleone!

So with his view, it is ok to kill people if he agrees with what they are doing. You have to either say live life and see what happens or shut EVERYTHING down and see what happens. Regardless the choice, people die. What a novel thought. Maybe we should stop trying to find a way for us to never die because it is not going to happen.
It’s a point of pride that he blocked me on Twitter. Never second guessed my perception of his butthurt campaign against us after we spurned his man-crush Schiano...he just keeps reinforcing it.
