The Atlanta Braves

Unless there are multiple teams in the same division that are positive there is no reason to punish the entire league. IMO it needs to be case by case, team by team situation

I don’t disagree but they can’t keep up with the scheduling.

I think there needs to be evidence of baseball related transmission before stopping baseball.
I agree with this but I think the bigger issue is what we don’t know behind the scenes.

My guess is it’s nearly impossible to travel without opening yourself up to COVID and they’re having a hard time policing players once they go to the hotel at night.

Baseball is going to be cancelled by Monday.

There is no way in hell they are having college football this fall.

This absolutely sucks.

But if the players go home, no one is policing them. They are left to their own decisions. They teat positive, quarantine at home and no one cares about cause they don’t know about it? I still don’t really understand what makes it a baseball issue unless they are transmitting while playing baseball or the numbers get out of control.

One org being smashed with positives does not make a league. If anything, the Phillies negatives confirms baseball can continue.

We’re not going to start the next NBA season on time either. They’ll have to do the bubble again and every reporter there says there’s no way the players sign up for it. The only reason it happened this time is because they were mid season.

Yep. That’s why NBA and NHL bubbled. Short term. No one is signing up for full season of it.

My hope is that maybe we get numbers trending downwards by December when hockey and NBA start up we can get their seasons started but I am afraid that until a vaccine is available we won’t have sports with fans or have new seasons start

Well I think the argument is if the season were cancelled the players would not be forced to travel nor travel and live in groups of 40+.

Of course not all of them would be responsible in a scenario in which they are home and doing as they please, but at least that’s their own “free-will” and they’d get to be with their families.

I don’t know. I have a mixed opinion on it. But I don’t think we make it much longer.

And I don’t blame them. They already are bubbling and not seeing their families for a couple months
