Didn’t I see where Greenberg did a short tribute to Golic yesterday? They seem to have a weird dynamic. It’s seems like they respect each other, but they aren’t really close. Golic has to have some resentment somewhere over the way they tore down Mike and Mike without any input from him.

I do not watch get up but a quick scroll of Greenberg’s twitter TL showed nothing. I listened to the last hour of the Golic family send off yesterday and he wasn’t mentioned once.

My understanding is they were VERY close until Greenberg took the Get Up job. Greeny became the highest paid on air talent at ESPN and didn’t tell Golic until very late in the process that he was leaving. And the writing on the wall was that Golic wouldn’t survive whatever change was going to be made.

Last time I checked the NHL was killing it in testing. Now sure if that’s still the case. With poor leadership like Manfred and Clark it seems baseball is destined to fail.
