Look, all I know is, just like I predicted, WE ARE PLAYING FOOTBALL... Praise the Lord!!! that is all that's important right now! The schedules will be worked out, some will fair well, while others may get a bit screwed, but we all know this is a weird season/circumstance, so there will be an asterisk by this season and in the W/L columns... unless of course we whip FL AL and GA, then it is all legit and we should win the Covid Natty!

Not too many weeks ago, many on here had given up and were convinced we wouldn't even play a single down... cough cough @Catbone

GO BIG ORANGE!!!!!
Still don't like how they said they were pushing the start date back to give them "the best chance" to play. Here's to Phil sticking to his guns and telling the other ADs to sack the hell up.

MLB is expected to cancel its season by Monday, one week into a season of a non-contact sport. Setting a schedule doesn’t mean crap. I’ll be surprised if we get more than 2 games played. I think it’s more likely that the season will be cancelled before Week 1.

I’d like to be wrong because it would be nice to watch football again. I don’t see it happening though.

What happened in the MLB, other than the Marlins outbreak?

I thought this was interesting. It’s Paxton Brook’s punting evaluation by Kohl’s before he signed with us in 2018. I’ve figured out that the D# is for distance of a punt and H# is the hang time. I’m guessing DED would be like a SNAFU. Anyway, I thought it was pretty neat. He seems to be pretty consistent.

This was Kohl's evaluation of Brooks at the time:

Brooks recently attended the 2017 National Scholarship Camp. He repeatedly hit 50-60 yard blasts and he built upon his dominant performance at the Southern Showcase Camp in May. Brooks again was a dominant punter and performer. His long frame makes him an attractive prospect as a D1 punter. Brooks' FG's and KO's show flashes of big potential as well. His strength is in his punting. Brooks earned the 2nd spot to the Under Armour All-American Game by winning the punt off against the top players at this national event. He has all the tools to become a great college P/KO specialist!

So far from what I've seen these guys nailed that evaluation. jmo.

Anyway, I actually had went looking for the evaluation for JT Carver since he was in the news today with us but they don’t have his detailed evaluation up yet. They do have him ranked as a 5-star kicker and this is what they had to say about him:

Carver recently attended Kohl's National Scholarship Camp in July of 2020. He again has proven to be a very dependable FG kicker. His FG range is impressive. Carver's KO's are solid, but he is a plug and play FG kicker in college. We trust Carver on FG's about as much as anyone in the 2021 class. He is a natural ball striker who can help a college program immediately!
