Sweden has a similar total population to the city of New York and it’s a relatively large country for Europe’s standards. Maybe it was much easier for them to not have to enforce strict measures? Their death rate is significantly higher than the US. The US has much more unique issues that it has to deal with politically and geographically that make any solution nearly impossible at the moment unfortunately

I'd bet the mortgage that when CV finally dies down and the final numbers are tallied, the death rate between the two countries will be equal or close to it. The difference between us and Sweden will be Sweden just got to the finish line faster and without the collateral economic damage. Right now the data is strongly pointing to herd immunity being achieved in Sweden.

The press and fear peddlers will never acknowledge it, but let's face it, it's looking like at the end of this thing they will have caused more damage and death than avoided it.

I read a thing on it that said that much of the people that did not have the antibodies still had T-cells and that could be the cause.

Numerous studies, posted in this very thread, that suggest the HIT rate may only be around 15%.

Covid just got my grandfather this evening. He was in a nursing home in FL. Has been battling Alzheimer's for over three years, so in many ways this is a blessing for him. Unfortunately the virus got into the home on 7/9 or 10, and he's now the fifth resident to pass.

Take care of each other, folks. And if you're the praying kind, please lift up my grandma. She's been with him for 69 years, and she hasn't been able to so much as hold his hand or hug him since March.
