I don't think its a question of having one's mind made up. The battle now is political.

Do you believe the scientists and experts who say it is not effective, and that those that do are either incompetent or motivated by political support for Trump...

OR

Do you believe that the media emphasize only those studies or results which disfavor it because it makes Trump look bad.

Or I dont care about either of your choices and understand the complexity of trying to ascertain whether this drug helps or not.

Many drugs used on many different approved conditions have varying rates of success depending on time of deployment, the patient, and many other factors. It is complicated. For someone on a message board to put their foot down and say it doesnt work is foolish at this stage.

Brainstorming idiots in Illinois came up with this for HS football
The spring season, Feb. 15 – May 1, will consist of:
  • Football
  • Boys Soccer
  • Girls Volleyball
  • Cross Country (Boys and Girls)
  • Girls Swimming & Diving
  • Girls Badminton
Nah its not cold ice and snow in mid Feb in Illinois --- imagine the knee injuries happening on frozen ground

I've been sitting here reading journal articles on hcq. You certainly can't just give the blanket statement that "research has proven it doesn't work." There's an awful lot of material out there suggesting otherwise -- with four proposed mechanisms: antiviral properties, receptor (ACE2) modulation, anti-inflammatory, and anti-thrombotic.

Said he felt bad enough Monday he was going to go to the ER but was able to get in to see a Dr who is kinda the head man for Covid in Key West. Got tested again and came back positive today.

I had not heard this before - the Dr told him the test is not just negative or positive - if you are positive the test tells how much virus you have? The Dr told him the highest positive he'd seen previously was 10 to the 4th power. My son tested positive with a reading of 10 to the 7th power.

His symptoms are cough, fever, body aches, EXTREME fatigue, loss of taste and smell. No breathing problems. He had mono his senior year of high school and lost 25 pounds in 6 weeks and was so fatigued he couldn't get out of bed for several weeks. He says the fatigue right now is worse than that. Fever goes up and down constantly. Praying for a quick recovery. My oldest son and my daughter have zero fear of Covid and act bullet proof. I'm hoping little brother's experience will nudge them to take more precautions.

Covid just got my grandfather this evening. He was in a nursing home in FL. Has been battling Alzheimer's for over three years, so in many ways this is a blessing for him. Unfortunately the virus got into the home on 7/9 or 10, and he's now the fifth resident to pass.

Take care of each other, folks. And if you're the praying kind, please lift up my grandma. She's been with him for 69 years, and she hasn't been able to so much as hold his hand or hug him since March.

Can’t tell you how much I empathize. My Mother-in-law has been in a facility with Alzheimer’s for 5 years and my wife hasn’t seen her in 4 months. Sorry for your family’s loss. Sorry for your family’s journey. I hope you all find peace and relief.
