The Atlanta Braves - Hello darkness my old friend

Soo.. Does that mean we eliminate sliding plays or tagging players. Can't have players getting too close. That violates social distancing. Holding runners on violates it as well.

God this argument is so dumb, seriously? Do you not know the difference between two players actually playing the game and a group of 40-50 humans gathered together arguing over someone getting thrown at?

We are in a pandemic. The season depends on players social distancing. Have benches clear violates that and Joe Kelly was the reason for that.

The Astros got off lightly absolutely, but Kelly should know better. Get your shots in next year
Disagree. You take your shot when you have it. SD had nothing to do with the suspension. Manfred has and apparently will continue to protect the cheaters on the Astros. Its pathetic

You can't pick and choose. If we're using the social distance argument as the reason and season in jeopardy. Then it must be at all times. Covid won't be like we'll it's just two players close together I'll wait and not transmit. It's either social distance all the time or don't.

Also if social distancing is the issue. Then the Astros need to shut up and take their medicine like men

I want to take this post and light it on fire

It’s about limiting exposure. The things you mentioned are part of the actual physical playing of baseball. To play the game, you have to do those things like holding a runner. And again, that’s just two people. Not a group. It might transmit, but youre trying to limit exposure as much as possible. Having benches clear isn’t part of the actual game of baseball itself. Which means it is unnecessary and not needed. And throwing at a guy, especially after baseball said it was going to crack down on that for this season, violates that.

Wish I could throw this post in my garbage disposal

I agree to a certain extent. But you can't make a statement like "the season depends on players social distancing" then be like well it's just two guys and it's part of the game. If it truly is about social distancing you take that part out.

Baseball is picking and choosing when and where. Like when a manager and ump argue they must wear masks. That's two people. But not when the ump is just umpiring around the catcher and batter, or players in the field coming closer within 6 feet.

Then let’s not play baseball if you want to nitpick that much then. Again big groups are bad. The more people involved the more transmission can occur. And I’ve even said that MLB hasn’t done enough social distancing.

Having Joe Kelly throwing at guys (which he shouldn’t be doing anyways, especially with how much his control sucks) and causing the dugouts to clear cannot happen this year. We have to avoid those type of things this season if we want a season. People are letting their hate of the Astros affect their judgment on this. We have to take as much caution as possible. Because if another team has a Marlins like COVID outbreak, the season will get cancelled.

You're the one who used the quote the season depends on players social distancing. If that is truly the case and by definition then yes by your definition it baseball needs to end. Because they are not social distancing.

This isn't about the Astros. This is about picking and choosing when to use a mask, when to social distance for me.
