I know if you show up at my wife's ER with covid symptoms, you will be prescribed a z-pak, zinc, vitd and vitamin c.
My wife has to wear an N95 under a surgical mask, gown up head to toe and wear a faceshield. The cases have increased in the Tr-Cities.
Why z-pak?

Why z-pak?
The thought on the Z pack is that this antibiotic alot of times can trigger an anti-inflammatory response and can possibly help with the inflammation associated with Covid-19 in the lungs and other places. It's not proven to make a huge difference but every little bit helps with an uncertain disease like this. i will say that i was given a Z-pack after being sick with covid for 2 weeks and coincidence or not my fever/symptoms improved greatly over the next 5 days i took it. placebo effect, perhaps... but either way i felt better after a 5 day dose of it.

Link? Source? Alcoa middle had their first positive covid after three days.
Just because I’m on a “Tennessee” site doesn’t mean I’m talking about “Tennessee Schools” however, Thales Academy in North Carolina all of their schools are open. While all public schools have been closed.

I wonder if the medical field has thought about using Doxycycline. At lower concentrations it has anti-inflammatory properties.

Any of y'all been to The Badlands, Yellowstone or Grand Tetons? Any tips on places to see, eat at, avoid?
Heading out there next month.

Plan is to visit The Badlands, Mt Rushmore, The Mammoth sites, Deadwood, Devil's Horn, fly fishing two days in Montana just south of Billings, heading into Yellowstone and Grand Teton, Jackson and then heading out through the Wind River Reservation, through Laramie to fly out of Denver. Will likely hit Fort Collins and possibly Estes on the way.

Thanks!

Lawd. That's a lot.

Be careful, word is fishing in Yellowstone can be kinda, Cuttthroat.

Grand Prismatic, Old Faithful Inn, Tope Hole, Grand Canyon Yellowstone, Stay at Lake Hotel/Drink at Lodge Bar, Undine Falls, Old Gateway in Gardiner, Boys of Summer in Canyon, Tram from Teton Lodge, Breakfast at Nora's, Beer at the Stagecoach, Dinner at Wort Hotel (Burger or Elk Medallions), Drinks at Cowboy.

That's a wrap. Oh, and Bozeman.

I got lost on the internet again and found myself reading a scientific article on hair loss and the evolution of the human brain.

This little gem would make Larry David pretty, pretty, prettyyy proud:

"hair loss must have preceded increase in brain size & volume. In this respect we see hair loss as a major force in human evolution."

One of my favorite memories of all time is fly fishing outside of Billings. I was only there for a day and didn't catch anything, but it was one the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
Had a girl invite me to stay weekend in Billings at the lake. lllike a dumbass, stayed in the park to work 🤦🏼‍♂️ always regret not going to Billings, app its a beautiful place.

I didn't mean I was asking about Tennessee schools. Do they have a student population size compared to local public schools?

It looks like the MLB ran into Covid trouble. Practically speaking, if Covid stops the football season six games in, how many national championships will Alabama claim?

There's a large group of people in the media (and probably a few on here) waiting for covid cases so they can hype them and say I told you so and do what the media does.

Well, what happens during flu season when a lot of students and teachers miss because of the flu. Yep, they close school.
Not gonna say it doesn't happen, but in 22 years of teaching it never happened anywhere near me and I never heard any consideration for closing a school because of the flu. I think I may have read about it happening somewhere in the country a time or two. It's a rare occurrence.
