My Lord what is wrong with people? If you’re going to get a bunch of kids together for learning together in person there’s this crazy new fad that does just that. It’s called school.Just something humorous I am seeing. Many of the parents that signed up for virtual school in Knoxville, that live in my hood, are on the hood FB page looking for groups to get together with for the virtual learning. Wtf. Just funny to me.
I agree there are instances where it can stop it because it’ll stop the big droplets from getting through and some might have the virus attached. On the whole masks do not stop the spread though. I believe we agree. What I don’t know is to what degree they are successful. If you’re not close to people in the first place then it shouldn’t matter.Well, I would just say there are instances where a mask would prevent fluids from landing on another person, yourself or a surface. And in those instances would effectively eliminate that particular opportunity to be spread. I mean, it's definitely quantifiable.
You aren’t lying there. I’ve been working from home since March with the 3 kids also home the whole time. There have certainly been some frustrating times. The mute button has become my best friend during meetings. The chances of dying from corona at school are much less than the chances of dying from annoying your parents at home for the next nine months.
Even the CDC came out the other day saying a huge portion of these tests produced false positives. We have NO idea what the real numbers are. True positive cases and deaths lower than what has been reported.
I have had to make several clock out because kids can be heard in the background..we always work from home but also have to be professional and maintain HIPAA environmentYou aren’t lying there. I believe you are referring to yhe the CDC comments on antibody testing and that up to 50% of antibody positives could be false positives in places where seroprevalence is rather low.
Do you have a link that is referring to PCR vs the above comments they made about antibody testing?
Out if curiosity, what is the purpose of antibody testing? Doesn't is just last a short timeYou are correct. It was related to the antibody testing. I can’t post it now, but also believe they stated if you had any type of Covid you could test positive for the antibodies but it wasn’t necessarily Covid 19.
@TennTradition now that some time has passed and the UK looks to have bottomed out, we hope, what do you think of that comment by N. Ferguson that 1/2 to 2/3 of their covid deaths would have died this year regardless? Can you buy any of that with them at 47k deaths?
