Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

So does COVID take a break from possibly spreading while the mask is off. Can't work both ways here

No, I meant that if he kisses his wife, they aren't putting each other at risk, and the odd fellow still has his on... while the next nearest person is nowhere to be seen.

Maybe pen a stern letter... just not too stern, like some are doing

Even when the rationale for opening the school doors collapses they will dig in, because Trump says it must be so.

I'll not lump PJ in that group, he's probably just wants his Man Cave back.

So now the teachers in my area are pissed because they are being told that they have to do their on line teaching from the classroom. That way they have white boards and other classroom aides to support the on line classes. They are claiming this too isn’t safe. You are in a room. By yourself. Shameful.

I'd prefer not needlessly increasing community spread. The idea that the kids don't spread the virus easily is nonsense. More than half of school aged children will spread it as easily as adults.

If I've ever suggested that I want kids to get dumber and less healthy, let me know.

If you are referring to social interaction, this could be accommodated without overcrowding classrooms.

Years of medical consensus on mask wearing for viral prevention can shift in 1 month and you don't bat an eye, but all of the studies and data analysis for the impact on children and the effect of opening schools are just lies waiting to be debunked. Your bias is showing.

You seem to advocate for online or distance learning instead of in person. That will absolutely hurt the academic advancement of many kids. Especially in those large school systems pointed out earlier

The fact that such a large % choose in person learning means the most vocal are a small minority. They should not be allowed to dictate policy

Mask wearing reduces spread. It's not just fact, it common sense.

Ok, non-biased one, tell me at what age a school-aged child is likely to spread as easily as an adult? I'll just tell you that the data is out there, and Trump with his thumb on the CDC, isn't eager to have that data shared officially.

This doesn't surprise me in the least.
