The mandate is useless untill it's a mask that can actually stop a .06 micron virus sphere.

Not useless. Let me ask you this... If you had to enter a nursing home full covid patients would you decline a simple cloth mask? If so, and Granny sneezed on your face, would you regret that decision?

I wouldn't go inside a nursing home without an N95 mask because the cloth mask doesn't provide the residents enough protection.

Have you been getting your "what ifs" from Luther?

A part of me just can't believe a lawyer... Someone who in theory argues for a living... Can believe that the president in a federalist country is responsible somehow for every single action taken at every level. There are 3rd graders that understand all politicians don't "work for the president".

No, just saying that a cloth mask will stop a covid lung projectile from landing in your mouth, as well as stop one from exiting the wearer. Am I wrong?

I don't know if you are or not but it wouldn't be me that I would be worrying about, it would be the resident I was visiting and I wouldn't bet their life on you being right.

There is not in the ones I am involved with but I do not have access to that information to many others..... I wish there was somewhere that we could see the difference between last year to right now for hospitalizations and deaths to see how much more is occurring. I have seen the covid facility increase from 8 to 33 although the overwhelming majority are symptom free.

If the NSC or DHS had put out guidelines to governors saying “we recommend a piecemeal shelter-in-place targeting locations that feed hospitals with x rate of spread that are at y% of ventilator capacity” or something of that sort I think most governors would have welcomed that, assuming Trump had stfu.

It’s hard to know for sure. When he did mention putting out a reopening plan a lot of the Dem governors said they would ignore it. However, you’re not talking about a reopening plan so maybe they would’ve been more open to something like you mention. Neither side seems too interested in working with the other which is sad during something like this.

It's the same concept with stores requiring them.. less of a vapor issue than a line of fire issue.

Even cloth will present some level of protection from airborne particles, even if not the size of atomic Ant Man.

I'm fine with stores requiring them. Whether they provide any protection or not I don't know.

IMO they help some..... they would stop most of particles from coughing and sneezing..... Other germs definitely escape around that mask. The person that is worried about catching never has to be in contact or in danger with another person unless they choose to be..... I went 3-4 weeks without making contact with another person outside my facility.
