Mike Leach at UT - After Fulmers recruits cycle thru we will be like Vandy, trying to win in a conference with less talent and coaching them like heck.

Brian Kelly at UT - The new Miss St. of the SEC.. Vols. His coaching style reminds me of Kevin O'Neil when he was coaching the BB program.

Neither canditate is what I envisioned as making a 'splash' of an hire.

that said, Leach is a bigger thorn in the side of A&M than Spurrier was to UT when he was at Florida

not false. they've owned A&M for years and it does tortures the soul of aggiedom
they hate Tech's emergence over them like you wouldn't believe because they still want to believe that A&M is superior to Tech and hate to face reality

No matter if Aggiefan is real or not everything he said was true. And if we are comparing Leach and Kelly what special season has Kelly had? He is just winning on other coaches talent.

I don't care who you talk to. A&M gets owned by everyone, UT was competing for national and SEC titles and the team they stood in the way was Florida.

If A&M beats TT they still suck.

well, at least you're correct that A&M sucks now, partially because of the way that Texas Tech has dismantled them for years, humiliated them, damaged their program, and was the chief reason their coach got $hitcanned

I can't believe how many people believe what the Sports Mammal says about who our next coach is as factual and accurate. They're being strategically used for smokescreening and probably don't even know it!!! Hyams' omnipotent attitude about this whole thing is so annoying too, especially when it comes to Mike Leach! If anything, Leach's casual attitude about most things will endear him to most of our fans, not appall them. So what if he's operating on a different wavelength? Last time I checked, we are looking for a new head coach, which means things NEED to be done differently!!! It's "change you can believe in"-arrrrrggggghhhhhhh

Bullcrap. By all accounts Brian Kelly is an excellent promoter, salesman, politician, and most of all football coach. Has he had any stellar recruiting classes? No although he has improved recruiting fairly dramatically. But take into consideration where he has been and that he has only been at those schools for 3 years.

Kelly - Two 10 win seasons at Cincinnati; won two MAC titles at CMU in 3 years; won a National Championship at Grand Valley State

I really like Leach. Love his eccentric style. I think he's a good fit at a place like TT or even U of Washington.

However...I think Kelly is the type of guy who can come in here and have LONG TERM success going toe to toe with Meyer, Saban, Miles, and Richt.
