Not really fair, I never have any sodas on hand and don’t really think of using them, but I have read where its used on skirt steak to help tenderize. Is that right?
That's what "they" say. It's another one of those things from way back in the day. I've never done it. I refuse to marinate a perfectly good piece of meat in Dr. Pepper (soda).

It could be the NEW culinary miracle that all TOP Chefs all over the world swear by.....Ill be the only loser to not do it. Doesn't mean I'm right, but in my little world I am.

Wait, this wasn't a joke? People used to do this? And with a soda that has a strong, and terrible, taste.

Our buddy Hose Toter did on a regular basis. Except he started using the Walmart version Dr. Thunder. He's the one that got it all started.

Really good guy though. H started calling him hose Toter cause he was a fireman.
