i mean that’s all it was. Shy was trying to get at a girl that was already involved. Warrior found out and handled it.

I’m not trying to take up for butch bc i don’t care about him. He’s a dumbass but weathered obviously had an agenda to get his story out there and it’s really just a big ass excuse to why he was ass. The dude couldn’t even get into New Mexico out of high school and could barely pass juco.

Then he’s obviously in his feelings bc some of his teammates Like karma for instance don’t mess with him but the fact is it was like that the whole time. He was an outcast. He tried to transfer multiple times. Once without telling coaches. I’m not even going to comment on the Alexis Johnson stuff he said Bc that’s just a blatant lie.

Like i said, I’m not taking up for butch at all. But butch isn’t the reason he’s a nobody. My biggest problem is him talking about guys that busted their ass and spent countless hours at UT and left it better than they found it. Even Jalen, yea it sucks the way it ended but he was a warrior for 90% of his time here.

You including bowls? Jumper got all his in a bowl less season...and Weathered wasn’t on that team.
PLAYED three years. Didn’t think he ever redshirted.

I'm just talking career no matter how many games. I think we both agree Jumper had the better career (if that's what we are talking about here). In my OP I was just stating that Weathered was supposed to be/considered to be a rush specialist by fans and (I assume) the coaches. Jumper played in he middle of the field and my "door opener" comment was just my playing off of the constant out-of-position that Jumper always seemed to find himself in which is why fans always squirmed in their leather/metal seats when he was on the field.

I don’t get the Alvin Kamara diva talk at all. To me, a diva is someone who is entitled in the extreme and throws a fit if they aren’t catered to in every way. I’ve never heard anything negative about Alvin that even comes close to that type of behavior. My impression is that he has a unique personality but in a positive way. Seems like a fun loving guy who everyone enjoys being around.
To be fair, Weatherd didn't use the term "diva." People who heard the interview, including myself, are kind of concluding that's he meant. Early in the interview, he said that some guys worked hard, but others, like Kamara, had a "different mentality."

I took that to mean that some guys (like himself) had more of a blue collar, "I need to work my ass off to be a good player" mentality while others were able to coast on the natural ability they had and didn't necessarily have to grind every day in order to get playing time. Weatherd didn't explicitly say that Kamara was entitled or a diva, but he definitely did imply that he didn't really work all that hard. Then later in the interview he called him a d**khead; not sure exactly what that means, but I think it's fair to say he doesn't really have a high opinion of the guy for some reason. Personally, it came off to me like sour grapes - Kamara was/is uber-talented and made it to the NFL, and he did not.

Man, that stuff about Jalen just sucks. I don't know anything about the situation even with what has been said/posted because I'm sure there is a lot there that doesn't need to be said. Wish that crap didn't happen. He worked hard and I think he truly loved being a Vol. Still, we need to move on. We have a true football coach who loves his team and sees them as young men and wants them to succeed in life.

Ive heard the reverse. He acts the way he likes, which is arguably just marketing.

He was always considered a leader on team. Same for Too Maggitt to Quit.

Seems Weathrd may have been the diva.

Also, wasn’t Kamara at some Vol practices a while back? Maybe even at a game? Sounds like a guy going out of his way to support.

I also don't think Alvin loves UT. Alvin came to UT because it was a good opportunity for him to take the next step to the NFL, he worked hard, dealt with the BS, then got paid. But also, I don't know of a single student who was at UT at the time that doesn't love Alvin. The dude was just cool, and I never got the vibe that he thought himself better than anyone else.

You are wrong about AK. I talk to him about once a month or so and he couldn't love UT more. He still comes to Knoxville from time to time to visit friends and still has ties with the program.

He was just in Bristol for the All Star race. I wouldn't think he would do that unless he had some sort of feelings about the area

well, that and he probably got paid....

but he was on social media talking about how great it was to be back in east tn...

i think he probaby has some mixed emotions about how the program was ultimatley run while he was here, but i don't think he has ill will toward the program now.....
