First of all sorry for your loss Doc.
It makes a huge difference. I deal with abandonment issues because of dad leaving. I don't miss anything of my kids age 18 & 15 and I don't care if it's whittling classes. It's just too important to me.
Yessir. My parents divorced at age 6. Thought it was my fault until I was in my 40s. My family sucked at communicating. My Dad died at age 63 from lung cancer. I saw him an average of once per year from age 6-16.
I swore that if I ever had kids that I would be there for everything that they did. My wife and I attend everything and participate as much as possible. My kids are also 15 &18.
