It means when Folty is on, hes the better pitcher and it’s not really that close. He put a 2.85 ERA for all of 2018 and finished top 10 in Cy Young. He finished the last two months with an ERA under 3 in 2019. He pitched seven shutout innings in game 2 last year.

It’s okay to say “I don’t like Folty’s attitude” “Folty has a better track record than Newk” and “I still think Newk can be a good starter”. None of those three statements contradict each other.

I think it depends on Foltys shoulder. Hes always been inconsistent but I don't think he was ever 100% last year. I dont think Folty is 2018 version, but I don't think he's 2019 Folty either I think he's somewhere in the middle. Imo Newk is a better pen arm than starter

I really don’t understand why y’all can’t see him as a SP. Please explain it to me, no troll.


He is a relatively young guy by IP pitched and has shown a lot of promise. Don’t say walks because they’ve dropped every year. Seems everyone else can have bumps in the road but him.
