Siap, Miles Jones transferred as a walkon, same for Kasim Hill. I guess either is open to change though. Love seeing ole Jerome Banksy back on the roster...pumps me up just a little bit watching that dude play.

Will be interesting to see what happens with the 3 walkons given scholarships last Fall (Garland's brother(?), Isaiah Montgomery and...K. Solomon iirc).
Callahan said this yesterday about them:
I would hope, like your chart suggests, K Solomon at least keeps his.
Those 3 won’t have their scholarships removed per DeerPark also there is a Power 5 thing that states an athlete given a scholarship in their first year must be honored for 4 years as long as there is no reason to remove it (i.e. disciplinary action etc.)

There were apparently a few others that were put on one year scholarships that weren’t reported that are getting theirs taken away and have already been informed.

First, let me say I am not supporter of the far right or the far left. That being said, we have to respect those that are vulnerable and limit what they are being exposed to, we should wear masks when we are in large crowds of people. Like major cities, stores and other similar areas.
Then we have to quit watching Main Street media because they aren’t telling the whole truth when it comes to this situation. This goes for both sides. Then those that are healthy have to take the chance to be exposed so that we can gain herd immunity. We must quit taking political sides in this situation. We also have to lose our fear of everything and gain our courage.

I would definitely tend toward the right, but I agree for the most part. In this situation, it would be smart to follow the science a little more, and the media a lot less. Shouldn't matter which side we fall on politically. However, I will disagree to some extent about herd immunity. We should attempt to avoid this thing altogether in the hopes that some "cures" will be found in the next 6 months. This could come in the form of medicines to make the vast majority of cases milder, or a vaccine.

If all else fails, herd immunity will eventually arrive, regardless of what we do. That is, unless we do not retain immunity for very long. Personally, I think the likelihood of the loss of immunity is overblown.

i've got a question for you regarding loss of immunity.

so if you contract a 'virus' and it is the flu.

your body develops antibodies but they will not protect you from contracting the flu again, correct?

Follow up on my friends wife that tested positive for Covid, and he did not. Well, his employer wanted him tested again, so he did the Walgreens drive thru test and came back positive this time. Feels fine tho.
False negative is way worse than false positive. Hope your friends will be fine. Totally believe they will be.

On principle, it sounds good and logically consistent. Pragmatically, we are talking a few dozen football players, that we know will be tested immediately, and quarantined if positive. Compared to ~102,000 in Neyland, with the possibility of a larger outbreak and spread. The magnitude of difference is too much to ignore.

The personal responsibility argument ends when it affects others and society. Personal choices have consequences in this case for others and that is a basic moral factor that should be considered.

Read literally a half page of posts and my blood pressure instantly spiked...🤬 I am going away again

Right on, I have read things that same way...but no expert lol. Though, as someone else mentioned previously, it could just be internal agreement that they wouldn't keep scholly. But I defer to 247 and others close.

Uhh well it depends on how long those antibodies last, and your old antibodies usually provide partial protection to newer strains.

The flu vaccine can last about 6 months worth of protection but can also go away faster then that as well. It all depends on your body really. Each individual is different. Natural immunity is usually not as long lasting as a vaccine.

SEC was smart in mitigating liability by stating they would Honor Scholarships of athletes who did not want to participate due to COVID-19. Absolutely brilliant move imo.
Think any school have done otherwise? I'm sure there would have been that one school lol, but it seems like a real d*ck move to take a kid off scholarship for not wanting to risk it. Especially a guy like Trey Smith. Would have just been poor PR imo...

*Was actually looking forward to seeing jackass Kirby try to take a kid off scholarship when he has an underlying condition and getting a sh*tstorm for it...

I will say this buddy is an alabubba fan that is very well connected in their athletic department.
