Marxist Black Lives Matter

I guess you could look at that way.
I do agree that Trump is at least partially a backlash to Obama.
However, the more accurate way to look at it is that the Trump election is proof that the country had not progressed nearly as far as the Obama election and presidency made it seem, and the people being forced to progress beyond their point of comfort were looking for payback. As many posters on here have said over the past few years........Trump was a middle finger to Obama and the progress he represented. (Throwing rocks at the buses in Little Rock)

Absurd. Next you'll imply Hillary lost because the country wasn't progressive enough to handle a female POTUS. It was politics, Luther. You may not like that reality, but people were not happy with Obama's politics. It wasn't an issue of race, and with Hillary, it wasn't an issue of gender, it was politics.

And the fact that Hillary is the worst, most despicable, most horrendous person to ever run for President, far surpassing even Trump. ;)

For a minutely small segment sure.

Yet many states that went to Obama flipped to Trump in 2016. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan that haven't gone to a Republican candidate since the 80s flipped from Democrat to Trump.

What progress were those historic traditional democrat states not comfortable with? 8 years of voting for an Obama presidency and after that they went with Trump.

Once again, back to the republican primaries. There were 17 choices.....Trump won. That's the reality.

And the Democrats learned nothing from it. The Reps ran the same old same old lifers and we got trump. The Democrats then ran the same old same old lifers and we got trump.
The sad thing is the Democrats are doing it again and we’re likely going to get another 4 years of Trump.
I blame both parties for this cluster ****.

And it had nothing to do with Obama's race as you were insinuating. People were looking for something different, and Trump was not an established politician. Turns out, he might as well have been because he acts just like one. But his nomination and win were a result of people being tired of the same political BS being thrown at us no matter who is in office. It was a political backlash, Luther, not a racial one.

Some were convinced that the "progress" was overlooking them; the whole flyover country vs coastal, rural vs urban....bs.
Trump (Bannon, Stone, Manafort) saw that opening and knew it could be manipulated.

I'm of the opinion Biden wins, but either way, we're screwed. We'd get a better candidate picking some random guy off the street IMO.

Political for some.
Racial for many.
A combination for even more.
Trump's appeal was much less about not being an established politician, and much more about being a "nationalist" divider.
Look no further than the moronic chants..........."Build that wall" and "lock her up". Tells you what you really need to know.
Even his MAGA nonsense had it's hidden message.

Not racial. You disappoint me, Luther. You're taking the low road and crying racism because you cannot allow yourself to comprehend how many Americans want something different than the same old political bull ****. It's a typical Democrat deflection device. When all else fails, scream "racism" at the top of your lungs. Obama was elected twice, Luther. It wasn't about race. It was politics.

8 years of an Obama presidency. His legislation. His policy. And the country responded with Donald Trump. Several blue states flipped to red. That's not a result of manipulation. Voters, democrats, looked at 2008-2016 and said "nope, tired of that $**t."

That's a terrible Obama presidency.

“Yes we can.” And “You didn’t build that.” are just as jingoistic as anything Trump has come up with.

"Build that wall" had nothing to do with racism. That's just liberal propaganda. I'm not a supporter of the wall and do not believe it will accomplish what some think it will, but the desire to curb illegal immigration is in no way racism. Asking people to follow established law to enter our country is not racist. Thinking that a wall might curb the cartels(it won't) is not racist. Nor is nationally divisive. We have a porous border with Mexico and that is a fact. Both sides have acknowledged we have an immigration problem in the past. I don't think a wall is the solution, but it's not the racist, divisive object it is being painted to be by the left. That's just ridiculous.

"Lock her up" is because many people think(and I agree) that Hillary got away with committing a crime. It's only divisive if you're one of the politicians that seem to be above the law in this country. People have gone to jail for what Hillary did. But for some reason we seem to have this rule that some government officials can break whatever law they choose and not face consequence. Hillary is one of those people. She's crooked, and she's been crooked for years, but the left has her on a pedestal and refuse to acknowledge it for the truth that it is.

As far as MAGA goes, it was just a slogan. Every campaign has one.

Give me a break Weezer. Talk about ignoring reality. Saying that Obama winning proves their is no racial element in politics, is like saying that Trump winning proves people love nationalism and want a wall.
I'm not crying racism, I'm certainly not screaming racism at the top of my lungs; but I am acknowledging that race was a factor, for some more than others.
Trump played on racial divisiveness more than any other repub candidate. He mixed politics with race as a calculated strategy.
I will agree that Trump supporters most definitely wanted something different.

You're accusing Trump of playing on racial divisiveness while playing on racial divisiveness. Once more, you become what you claim to hate.

Let's play the luther game. If race played any part in 2016 it was extremely low on the continuum. Like less than 2%.

I'll accept that you view all 3 as stated.
They did not have the same meaning or represent the same sentiments for everyone.
If you haven't already, watch "Get Me Roger Stone".

Integration and segregation both deal with racial divisiveness, but the people supporting one are in no way equally racially divisive as the people supporting the other.
And it was 13% on the continuum, not 2%.

You don't get to make up numbers on my continuum.

If I’m a willing participant or if I’ve done something to deserve an ass whipping, I’m not pressing charges.....that doesn’t sound quick to employ to me.

I just don't understand the thought process behind lawyering up over a punch. It would be embarrassing for me to do that. Would your parents have done that when you were in high school if some other senior had sucker punched you?

I think Biden wins because his handlers are being very smart it seems (something foreign to Democrats). Basically keeping him out of the public eye and giving no real specifics on plans and basically going on the idea that in order to beat Trump just don't be more insane than he is. 95% of Dems and media don't have the emotional intelligence to do that and it shows but Biden's teams knows that no matter what in November, the base and far left (same thing) will vote for him. For example the columnist that said she didn't care he was a rapist, she was still voting for him.
