He has a better chance of being Jeff Francoeur than Camargo does of not being what he was a few years back.
Riley is the hot young prospect, Camargo has only had one decent season and then severely regressed. Riley has a better chance of being a Donaldson type bat then Camargo. The game has gone the way of the long ball thats not Camargos game.He has a better chance of being Jeff Francoeur than Camargo does of not being what he was a few years back.

Riley can’t DH cause $18M frying pan face gotta DHCamargo put up a 103 OPS+ and 115 OPS+ in his first two years with the changed ball. He’s also more valuable defender than Riley. Hell Camargo has a better track record in the majors than Riley. Also we only have Ozzie and Freddie from the left side. Camargo gives us another LHB. He is only 26.
Now, in a perfect world, Riley rakes and Camargo is a perfect UTIL player that gets 3-4 starts a week. But with the DH there’s no reason for them to be on the bench. Camargo at 3B and Riley as the DH makes perfect sense.
Atlanta has stated that they dont want to move RAJ as much this year. Which means nobody else can play CF besides Ender. Duvall was signed as a power hitter who smashes lefties. Riley is the young power hitter with pop. The next big prospect for the Braves. Ozuna will be DH. There is no room at the inn for Camargo. Plus if they use a ball similar to last year it will be jumping again, and I would want my team to give as many at bats as possible to guys who have 30+ HR potential. We have our get on base guys in Dansby, Ozzie( I dont count him as a power hitter) and Ender. We need pop to bring those guys in. Camargo will be a late defensive replacement for Riley.Camargo put up a 103 OPS+ and 115 OPS+ in his first two years with the changed ball. He’s also more valuable defender than Riley.
