State level shut downs. Not Trumps ball court.

Everyone was ticked with Trump at first for sticking his nose where it didnt belong. But as soon as the shoe was on the other foot it became attack Trump for not doing more of what we dont want him to do. It makes no sense.

That’s what I was saying before , other than EOs ( those will be overturned by the next potus ) this Covid experiment has shown me where the real power actually lies .. Mayors and governors . I think we will see a new way to play politics after this is over .

The lack of a federal response puts the ball in his court. It’s his job to coordinate the response with the states.

That was really good. I don't see Biden turning Texas blue in November in spite of what the polls are claiming, but this would be a really effective commercial in any true toss-up state that oozes state pride (not that any state really does on the level of Texas).

Agreed. Texas will remain Red. The main thing is that the GOP is going to have to spend money on a state they normally would ignore.

Texas is not going blue unless Trump starts kicking puppies on live TV. But, floating some ads to see how folks respond? Smart. They can use Texas to hash out the message.

I actually said it was a good ad , except ... let’s all do our part with masks and social distancing unless you want to hug a stranger . That parts dumb and didn’t go with the rest of the message . If it was made for me ... they need to try harder .

I have said this numerous times, and truly believe it, any other recent POTUS would have used this crisis to rip more power from the states and extend executive overreach. I give Trump a lot of credit for that. And I generally despise him.

I really thought they would push him into Martial law .. I’m so glad that didn’t happen . It could have very easily but then he would have put himself totally on the hook .

A lot of people talk out of both sides of their mouth when it comes to Trump. One day it’s complaining about his abuse of power then the next complaining about him not abusing his power.

I would step down and let them have it . I’ve never understood why anybody wants to stand in the center of a pit of vipers anyway though . I don’t think anybody in their right mind would want pressure like that 24/7.

Agreed...... my civic duty matters not when I look out and think, fine, F*** all y'all, do whatever, I'm out.....good luck. Also, a feeling of you people deserve the ooze of pathetic.
