Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My father in law passed away about 45 minutes ago...I am just glad my wife got down there in time to be with him and her family before he passed. I am headed down there in the morning.

My mothers last words to me are the greatest comfort..."There’s a brighter day..everything is gonna be alright"
Prayers to you and your family. Your wife has a good man to lean on!

These things have to be taken in perspective. Stanford had 36 sports. UT has 20. They appeared to have been running a deficit for a while.

It is just like Akron a couple of months, who some blamed the coronavirus for dropping a few sports. Akron previously had financial problems, had actually dropped baseball at one point, and was playing more sports than the average MAC school. It’s not really a coronavirus problem.

Is there a list of the 16 sports additional that they played? I am curious. Not sure that I could come up with 16 more.

The Stanford Quidditch team was highly ranked with national championship aspirations this year. Surely they dropped a non revenue sport such as football or basketball. They packed the stadium for their Quidditch team. 😁

Sorry for your loss brother. Prayers for your family

It was mostly sports like squash, mens rowing, womens rowing, sailing, coed sailing, mens volleyball, sand volleyball, etc. The biggest name sport they dropped was Wrestling, which was a real shocker considering the number of national and olympic champions that program has produced. It was the outlier of the 11 they removed in that it was a major college sport. Their excuse was that only like 40% of FBS schools had a team, but that 40% consists of half the Pac12, ACC, Big12, and the entire Big10. Only 1 SEC school. So it's not like a sport dominated by small schools like the others.

nice

Footjoy....."myJoy"

For years, the annual hospital corporation golf tournament gave up pairs of golf shoes. I had found a great sale on Footjoy and bought multiple pairs. This year, my last Footjoy pair bit the dust. I broke open the Adidas giveaway shoes...look great. Wasn’t until the 3rd or 4th round in them that I realized my feet really hurt the next day. Then I remembered that Tennessee athletes had many, many foot injuries when we were an Adidas school. (No further foot injuries as soon as we switched to Nike).
Going back to Footjoy immediately. Was going shopping for some Friday when I got the option to customize a pair. Received executive approval (wife said that I could😎), The color palette said Orange 151 so I know that it’s the correct shade. Christmas in July! 🤠

I've been out of the loop....

Outside of Jamon Johnson picking uga, but we weren't really that hard after him, and Payton Page going to announce his commitment to Clemson on the 28th, has there been anything going on lately that I've missed?

i've been a footjoy guy myself most of my golfing life....never could get myself to pull the trigger on the myjoys though.....

as for your addidas though....i'll just tell you the last two pair of golf shoes i have owned were addidas, and htey were both nice. one pair, actually got stolen. lol. hated it cause the shoes were nice. the pair i have now also very comfortable. i still have two pair of FJ's i weare regularly as well. but i don't know how old or cheap the addidas you had were, but i'd go on record and say the newer models of addidas are niiiiice.....and just for reference, the 1st pair of addidas i mentioned, that was when i was walking probably 75% of my rounds, and i was play minimum of 3x's a week at that point....so they got used.

anyway...not to argue, err'body's different. just sharing a different addidas experience....

There's so much spit and slobbers in football. Idk how we can safely have a football season.

Easily. By building herd immunity. This isn't the bubonic plague. Survival rate is ridiculously high. Lets stop making this out to be something it isn't. It's time to return to normal. We'll be just fine.

Definitely!.... @Catbone hasn’t been saying anything negative in recent weeks and

@Big Gucci Sosa is still making obvious destination predictions With the help of crystal balls and Volquest.
