Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My father in law passed away about 45 minutes ago...I am just glad my wife got down there in time to be with him and her family before he passed. I am headed down there in the morning.

My mothers last words to me are the greatest comfort..."There’s a brighter day..everything is gonna be alright"

Much love, brother. Death is not the end. Glad his daughter was able to see him one last time. I cannot imagine my father in law not being here.

Sorry for your families loss.

Good news. According to Miss Cleo, we will have football.

She's also gonna put a voodoo curse on anyone who says different.

What is interesting in that article is it said there was consensus among ADs that if students are not on campus, there will be NO football, because they couldn't ask players to come if all other students were told not to for health purposes.

I had previously heard from the scientific view that the best/most likely way to have football is if other students were NOT on campus, thus the players would be more isolated. Having 10k other students on campus would be WORSE for the players.

Lord, we are not going to have football for a completely inaccurate reason, aren't we?
Too many unknowns.

Death is not an end, it’s only a beginning. He’s in a far better place than we are now. At least he’s not having to suffer any longer. Sounds like you’re at least at peace with it and I hope you can keep that attitude, brother. I’ll be praying for you and your family. Stay strong, brother.

Prayers for you and yours. It certainly has been a very tough year.

Stanford just dropped 11 varsity sports.

These things have to be taken in perspective. Stanford had 36 sports. UT has 20. They appeared to have been running a deficit for a while.

It is just like Akron a couple of months, who some blamed the coronavirus for dropping a few sports. Akron previously had financial problems, had actually dropped baseball at one point, and was playing more sports than the average MAC school. It’s not really a coronavirus problem.
