I've liked Prine since I was a young-un.

Edit: That last album he did was unbelievably good, imo. It sounds like he was very sick the last part of his life...maybe lost a lung and got covid....but that Tree of Forgiveness...man, it's great stuff

He went to Paris slipped through the cracks? I would say that anyone that has ever listened to Buffett other than the radio has heard that song 100's of times. I know I have.

I was saying it's not in line with the traditional songs that became hits for him. I know lots of songs that are unlike his hits and most don't know about them. He went to Paris was so good, it became a hit anyway. I was saying it slipped in and was just as big as traditional concert Jimmy Buffett songs

I knew what you meant and agree. Running restaurants down here on or near the beach during season has live music almost if not every night. Margaritaville gets played at least twice every. Single. Night. For 4-5 months. I could probably sing it backwards.

That said, I don't care if I ever hear it again, but if and when I do the next time, I'll probably listen to it and sing along.

Honestly? I get it, it ain't that big of a deal, but to me personally, its in the same category as Lobster Mac and Cheese. Good pulled pork belongs to be thoroughly enjoyed either by itself or on a bun/sandwich bread/cornbread. Not on top of spaghetti noodles.
