I don't believe that is true.

Are we going to slow this down and milk it out for 5 years? Or some extreme amount of time where you create a scenario that immunity wears off from the previously infected? So then you just start back over cycling immune people back into the potential host pool.

Come on man, obviously this is temporary until there are better treatments, a vaccine, or we all manage to catch it. Mask wearing will only last as long as this pandemic. You're talking about 18 months max hopefully. That's until the first week of October of 2021.

No idea. I'll settle for getting cases down in the very near term so we can get back to life as normal.

Not at all, even 50% could save lives.
