That's what's confused me the most about this. In every other virus or sickness we don't say they have the disease unless the are symptomatic. Why are we making a big deal about asymptomaticWant to know something even crazier ? There have been no reports of Asymptomatic people transmitting the coronavirus.
Only individuals who are symptomatic and possibly individuals who are presymptomatic can spread the coronavirus.
Just gonna drop this nugget about mask wearing...
If you are an N95 mask wearer, and are talking about wearing it to save others...you're either ignorant, or a liar. Plain and simple.
The N95 works like a military gas mask. It filters the air you breath in. The air you breath out of the mask...that others can breath...is 100% yours. None filtered.
Military and former military, look at how the mask works, you'll know what I'm talking about. Look at the rubber grommet. It's for letting your natural breath out.
I have not heard this. If true, that's great. You got a source? Not trying to be an ass. Great news, if true.Want to know something even crazier ? There have been no reports of Asymptomatic people transmitting the coronavirus.

The CDC. Evidence Supporting Transmission of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 While Presymptomatic or AsymptomaticI have not heard this. If true, that's great. You got a source? Not trying to be an ass. Great news, if true.
I get how a mask works. My original beef was the lack of O2 it let’s in over a long period of time.
It can’t be beneficial breathing in 3% less oxygen over a prolonged timeframe. Seems like common sense to me...
But anyway...
I am so sorry but this is making me laugh so hard. Glad you're OKAlso, if you start getting uncomfortable in the mask, step away and take it off. No risk of brain hypoxia if you just do what your body is telling you.
I say this from experience. I got a haircut the other day and I nearly smothered when they put the hot steamed towel over the mask I was wearing.
I read it and the World Health Organization confirms there have been no cases of asymptomatic individuals transmitting the virus. I added that picture to the thing. You need to read your citation again then....
"...these models suggest that the speed and extent of SARS-CoV-2 transmission cannot be accounted for solely by transmission from symptomatic persons."
"Although these reports did not identify actual virus transmission while presymptomatic or asymptomatic, the low RT-PCR Ct values (i.e., high viral load) and ability to isolate infectious SARS-CoV-2 provide plausible virologic evidence for SARS-CoV-2 transmission by persons not demonstrating symptoms."
No, but it is recommended to help prevent others from catching it if you have it. We can't even quantify how many have died from it. It seems like such a minor imposition for a pretty significant potential benefit. You know, potentially saving a life.
I mean...
"Reported cases of infected persons who transmitted the virus to others while presymptomatic or asymptomatic have occurred within families or households (9–11,13–17), during shared meals (10,12), or during visits with hospitalized family members (9,13). "
That directly contradicts your statement.
