Mike Leach (Texas Tech)

UF vs. Texas Tech will be a 5 hour affair with Florida having put the game away after about 30 minutes.

I think he could make us a good exciting offense again, but i'm worried what he'd want to do with the defense. Leach was my first choice but now i'm leaning towards Cincy's Brian Kelly.

Brian Kelly is my choice as well. He knows offense and defense. He also has lots and lots of energy.

Absolutely... it's going to be like wind sprints for all those freaks they have on the sideline who haven't been getting the PT they deserve.

And if Leach is our guy and they do that... FORGET about recruiting this year.

If Leach were a great coach, it wouldn't have taken him nine years to have his first great season in the Big 12. Nine years. Think about it. Texas Tech hired him when Travis Henry was still in our backfield, and he's just now getting around to making a serious run at a conference title.

That doesn't sound like a great coach to me. That sounds like a mediocre-to-good coach who eventually caught lightning in a bottle with a good QB and the best receiver in the country.

He can't convince good Texas football players to go to Lubbock. He's not going to convince them to come to Knoxville. Anyone touting recruiting ability as a positive for Leach is flat out wrong.

Who in their right minds want to go to hell? The top Tx recruites go to OU, Other UT, USC, Notre Dame, MU, etc, before going to TT. Have you been to Lubbock? Its Wichita Falls SW. The place is a hole. Those who wanted a shot at the league would follow him in droves to UT.

He's really only beaten one good team, too. Oklahoma State is a sham. The rest of their Big 12 opponents (save one) are garbage. The nonconference schedule might be the weakest in the nation. So essentially he caught Texas on a day when they played horrifically and still needed a miracle to win.

Leach has sent no one to the league. Mack Brown and Bob Stoops send busloads every year. No one would follow Captain Hook Route. If they felt like heading East, LSU likes to poach Texas. Alabama is closer, too.

I think you would really enjoy my posts on page 125 of the Leach thread.

Well radio station isnt the only ones believing the hype. The Gerald jones interview said he discussed with one of his friends who plays for Texas tech and he said his friend said he was sad that he heard he was losing his coach to tennessee and Gerald replies.. That would be bittersweet, and his friend said why do you say that? gerald replies because I would be happy as H*ll but it will suck for you. LOL thats pretty funny, not saying leach would be my first choice but funny quote. I figured if Radio satation says that plus players get the vibe, it could be a reality.

Definitely see your take...thing is, who wants who and for what reason?.....either way, people will moan....no one will like so and so, others will......doesn't matter till they get on "The Hill" and show their stuff.....

Can we just get Gruden PLEASE???

The gruden thread is down the hall and to the left, next to the janitors closet!!!...Get with the program!!!..hehe

There are other teams in the country. Try watching another conf. other than SEC. What have we got here since Travis left other than 9 children from 9 different ?mamas. SEC East was a miracle, other than that what?

Why the hell is someone in Austin reporting this rumor and not from Lubbock. Sounds to me Longhorn nation is trying to cause a stir before the Oklahoma game.

Do you have a link to the interview because I have not heard this.

Did you think about how idiotic your last few sentences sound after the first two?
