Non-Lady Vol Basketball News 2025-26

It's stacking up well for Dawn's 2022 class with offers to three players who all live in South Carolina.

Maya Nnaji #8 at 6-4, Ashlynn Watkins #12 at 6-4 and Talaysia Cooper #25 at 6-0. All should be locks for USC.

Ashlynn was dunking in the 8th grade and she'll have a year with Boston.

Isn’t Nnaji from Minnesota? Why do you think she is already a USC lock?

NNaji is from Hopkins HS in Minnesota where she was a teammate with Paige Bueckers incoming freshman at UConn. She is far from being a South Carolina lock.

There is a Hopkins in South Carolina right outside of Columbia. I am sure that was a mistake on Poultrygeist's part. I don't count my chickens (play on words) before they hatch with any player including the ones mentioned.

Seems like Louisville is out of play for Raven Johnson. They just signed Malea Williams who puts them at their scholarship max for 2021-22. Jeff might not be completely out of it as he has managed his roster before with over signing and helping previous athletes find a new home.

Former All-American Nina Davis named assistant coach for MTSU women's basketball

"Nina is a young lady who has a great passion for the game and for young people," Insell said. "Nina will be a great addition to our staff in regard to on-floor coaching and recruiting. I'm very excited to have her joining our program."

Good for her. I loved how relentless Nina was despite being a 5'11 PF/C and having the ugliest jumpshot in the game and basically not a threat to score more than 5 feet from the basket. She still crashed the boards with the trees and found ways to consistently score around them. Unfortunately, her game was never going to translate to the pros, but she'll be a great mentor to the MTSU players...especially if she can impart her work ethic and determination on them.

She loves the State of Tennessee and welcomes the chance to start her coaching career there.

Nina Davis joins SicEm365 Radio to talk new coaching job at Middle Tennessee State

Rule of the forum is NO POLITICS......Thank you.
No politics is a good idea. Perhaps the SEC is simply acknowledging history, rather than engaging in politics.

Here is the start of a prominent Mississippi historical document, provided without commentary:

"A Declaration of the Immediate Causes which Induce and Justify the Secession of the State of Mississippi from the Federal Union.
In the momentous step which our State has taken of dissolving its connection with the government of which we so long formed a part, it is but just that we should declare the prominent reasons which have induced our course.
Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. "

Or she may have committed to SC over a month ago and he knows it already.
