2020 Presidential Race

Conservative columnist commentator John Solomon's website (Justthenews.com) has posted a poll that has President Donald Trump down by 12 points to Joe Biden. The pollster for "Just the News", is Scott Rasmussen, who is historically a pro-Trump pollster whose old firm, Rasmussen Reports, is frequently cited by Trump as the most reliable poll, as well as also being his personal favorite. President Trump has tweeted the polling data from Rasmussen Reports numerous times during his presidency.

Per "Just the News" Daily Poll (Scott Rasmussen, Pollster):

Question: Suppose that in the Presidential Election this year, you have a choice between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden. For whom would you vote?

Democrat Joe Biden: 48%
Republican Donald Trump: 36%
Some other candidate: 6%
Not sure: 9%

Also, per "Just the News" (John Solomon's web site): Two weeks ago Biden and Trump were tied among independent voters at 39% each; Now, it's Biden 39%, Trump 26%. Biden also leads by 14 percentage points among suburban voters. Among those without a college degree - a demographic that's usually strong for President Donald Trump - the candidates are even. As for college graduates, they prefer Joe Biden 58% to 29%.

"There is no way to describe these numbers as anything but bad news for President Trump," Scott Rasmussen said. "If the election were held today, he would lose ... and lose badly. The Republican majority in the Senate would certainly be at risk as well."

Rasmussen further added that:

"The only real concern for Democrats in this polling is that the election is not being held today. These numbers would have been unimaginable a few months ago - before the pandemic, the lockdowns, and the murder of George Floyd. Depending upon how events unfold, things might look much different in November than they do today. But for now, Biden is the clear leader in the race." - Scott Rasmussen, Pollster for "Just the News".

The President Donald Trump 2020 Re-election Campaign recently sent a cease and desist letter to CNN's President Jeff Zucker for having the nerve to report very similar results. Will the Trump campaign be sending conservative columnist and "Just the News" creator John Solomon a cease and desist letter? Or how about Scott Rasmussen, who Trump has touted in the past for being his personal favorite and best pollster?

Somehow, I doubt it.
Yeah sure just like 2016 then? Also what's going to happen once Joe has to come out of hiding and face Trump in a debate and everyone see's stuff like this....

Buddy of mine started the Cherokee Purple, Cherry tomato, and mystery tomato from seed and gave them to me. The mystery tomato was supposed to be a Cherokee Purple. The other I picked up at Lowe's when they had a sale. I love the flavor of a Cherokee Purple. I get yellow tomatoes, greasy back green beans and half runner green beans from my Dad when I go to our mountain house.
Love yellow tomatoes..tough to get good ones here on the coast...when I was back in TN last weekend I bought about 10 pounds of Grainger County...but they were hothouse and not as good

The polls were never as bad for Trump in 2016 as they are right now. Even Trump has acknowledged that Rasmussen Reports was the most accurate... and actually, they were in the week leading up to the election. They were the one poll on Real Clear Politics which had the popular vote exactly right. Take a good look at those quotes from Scott Rasmussen (on a site which was created by conservative stalwart and Trump apologist and Fox News regular guest John Solomon). You can not possibly see anything positive for Trump in that, nor can you portray either Scott Rasmussen or John Solomon as being biased against Trump - unless you want to look really stupid. It seems like you are going to hang your hat on the belief that polls are always wrong - but there is a problem with that - they're not.

LOL........ What the hell is that old fart rambling on about in his thoughts that are like rusty cobwebs in his mind.
And this is what the Democrats think is their best shot for bringing the country together when his speech is crap.
Biden will do whatever the MOB tells him to do ..... because Biden has no clue of anything. This man has had 40+ years to get things done & hasn't done squat but enrich himself & only himself.

I had that button back in 1964, but whether or not I still do.....That was William "Bill" Miller who was his running mate. I think he was from New York, and in the House .
I remember enjoying his autobiography when it came out in the late 80s or early 90s.
Growing up, all I ever heard about him is that he wanted to shut down TVA. HA

I remember 2 quotes from Goldwater:
1) "Extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice."
2) The second is a paraphrase after he was told that he would have to go meet the people and shake hands on the campaign trail if he expected to win. He said "I went out and shook hands with thousands and thousands of people, and I got the living Hell beat out of me."

A Trump ally, founder of Blackwater and brother of Secretary of Education has been given a massive contract by the Chinese government to provide security for state-owned Chinese investment company CITIC providing security, aviation and logistics services to Chinese firms operating in Africa. The irony is that his company is based out of Hong Kong.

Old auh2o
I have a button from that election

There were a couple of unusual things about connections between Goldwater and my family. My brother was a Ham radio operator, talked with Goldwater sometime in the 1970's or so, and got a QSL card from him. I think I have it somewhere, along with one when he talked to King Hussein of Jordan. Also, I found out through the AMX club several years ago that Goldwater bought a 1968 American Motors 2 seat AMX new. I bought a new 1970 2 seat AMX. It was a very low production car.

“We’re working on that right now, sitting down with various groups, listening to what they think is important what is contained in that executive order,” Reynolds told the outlet. “And then I’ve got my legal team working on it.”

Why shouldn’t they vote once they have served their time? Full rights should be restored once your punishment has been completed.
Yup. Unless its specific part of the punishment (like if they were guilty of voter fraud) they should have their rights restored.

Non violent felons should be able to own guns etc..

If it keeps going this way, final vote split may look like a score from a University of Houston game when they had David Klingler at QB, something like 70-30.
