He's right, he shouldn't have been there for the same reasons the joint chiefs don't stand or applaud during the state of the union address.

The military shouldn't have and presidents back, they should just carry out his lawful orders.

The Trump campaign is demanding that CNN apologize for their poll which shows Joe Biden leading. Yes, you heard that right. President Donald Trump's campaign is publicly demanding that CNN retract and apologize for a recent poll that showed him well behind presumptive Democratic Party Presidential nominee Joe Biden.

This demand, coming in the form of a cease and desist letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker that contained numerous incorrect and misleading claims, was immediately rejected by the network (and is currently being laughed at by anyone with any sense). "We stand by our poll" said Matt Dornic, a CNN spokesman.

This makes Trump look like such a sensitive little snowflake. His feelings are genuinely hurt over a poll from a network that he frequently refers to as being "fake news". Trump is so pitifully weak. No adult should be this self-absorbed and hyper-sensitive. Trump is constantly playing the victim card, and this is easily the most whiny, crybaby look that he has ever shown and that is no small statement.

The 1st Amendment only protects freedom of speech by your supporters and advocates, right Donald? God, this guy is a moron.

For one thing, the lead that CNN showed for Biden in their poll isn't that much larger than what other polls are showing for Biden. Every poll has Biden ahead in the popular vote. So, your claim of a "fake poll" rings hollow... but that is beside the point anyway. This is a violation of CNN's 1st Amendment rights. This is the government trying to censor them. Trump claims to care about the 1st Amendment but he really only cares about himself. This makes him look so stupid and weak. You really think that this is going to keep the media from reporting on the CNN poll? That is ridiculous. It will have the exact opposite effect. This cease and desist letter will only bring more attention to the CNN poll. Everyone is reporting this now... even Fox News. So, yeah... it's going to snowball, alright.

Trump is the epitome of a narcissist. He claims not to care what CNN reports, but then takes legal action over one of their polls? Damn, this is pathetic. The most sensitive man ever... Donald J. Trump.

I’m not saying it will hit or miss.... I’m just saying that is why trump does this....It helped get him elected and he will keep doing it bc it seems to work for him.

This is beyond the pale even for him. It's almost as if he wants to be laughed at... but no, somehow we do know that Trump really is THIS sensitive and stupid. He has no sense of self-awareness at all. I'm sure someone on the White House staff tried to talk him out of doing this, but his feelings and ego must come first... before the 1st Amendment, before anything. It's almost too comical to be taken seriously, but you have to take it seriously because the President of the United States truly is this ignorant and weak.

I can't believe Trump sent CNN a cease and desist letter demanding a retraction and an apology over one of their polls. Oh, my God... this can't be real.

It's amazing that the dimocrats & the liberal left are completely forgetting that every single damn poll in the 2016 election including the morning of the election had Hillary Clinton winning "bigley"!

Remember there was never any doubt she would be President, the only question was how many states she would win on the way to getting it!

This is totally beside the point of Trump's stupid cease and desist letter, which is an obvious infringement of CNN's 1st Amendment rights. This was a hilarious overreach and abuse of power by the President, which he won't be held to account for, because everyone already knows how stupid he is. As stupid as Trump is... he is just as egotistical and sensitive.

Back on point... what you wrote is not even true. There were certain state polls such as Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania that were wrong, but the General Election polls (such as the CNN poll) in the first week of November in 2016 had Hillary Clinton leading the popular vote by anywhere from 2.5 to 4 points. She did win the popular vote by 2.1 percentage points which was well within the margin of error.
