I feel this is accurate.. you mention the dynasties. There are cracks in the armor. LSU did everybody a favor by laying the lumber to the big boys. It might have been a flash in the pan- they lose a lot of talent. But what it did was open the door for guys like Pruitt, Smart and Mullen to recruit guys. The message is: If you go to. (Fill in the blank with dynasty team) there is no guarantee you get that natty ring by your senior year. Thank you Joe Burrow, you athletic freak! For sake of argument......
Winning a national title is hard. We've played football for over 110 years now and have 3 of them. So, predicting a guy ain't going to win one isn't really going out on a limb. People forget that because we've had some dynasties recently (Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma) that it just isn't the norm. And so, everyone is waiting for those dynasties to fall and for someone new to become the next dynasty.....and I hate to tell people, but in the SEC, it's not going to happen. The kind of thing that's going to happen (IMO) is the exact kind of thing LSU did this past year. Fielding good teams and everything falls into place for a magical year.
People's perspectives have just become almost comical. Kirby Smart gets mocked and he's easily one of the best college football coaches in America right now. It's not close. But, people talk about him like he's a bum.
Dan Mullen is a really, really good football coach. And whether anyone here wants to admit it or not, people here weren't predicting 10-3 in year one and 11-2 in year two with two NY6 bowl wins. And over half of those wins came with a QB who most here would argue is a worse QB than JG.
No true fan is this negative about a 2nd year coach on a 6 game winning streak, who is recruiting as well as Pruitt currently is. You are honestly holding the last two years vs Georgia and Alabama against Pruitt, considering what he started with? Look, I understand Battered Vol Syndrome, but your posts are over the top with negativity. They read more like the rants of a rival fan, who is posing.
It's fair to point out that he is compensating for it by working the transfer portal as well as anyone right now, but it's still true that Mullen has had some unusually high attrition from your last two signing classes. I'm not sure if it's a red flag or not... but I wouldn't completely dismiss it as a problem if it persists. For sake of argument......

Are Florida fans calling for Mullen to be fired?
The main complaint/concern I have is landing the “everybody’a all-American” difference maker that every championship team has.
Typically, it’s at Qb but other positions as well.
But, those schools that I mentioned earlier have multiple guys doing video game stuff every week and that’s what separates them from everyone else.
JMO
UGA and Bama are a pretty high bar. Over the past 2 years Pruitt’s teams have been out scored by Vandy and Mizzou. The negativity is due to the team still looking sloppy and players out of place in their 25th game under Pruitt. The offense looks lost in most games. In Pruitt’s 23rd game as head coach the offense put up 526 yards and only scored 24 points.
BC-7 tackles, 20 total
LL-136 yds total
JS-15 catches, 157 yds in 2 years
It might be a fresh start is what they need, might be they were overrated

Facts are facts. We have not been close to Mullen in the last two years. Show me and I will believe.@08Vol .... This is what the posts of a Gator fan should look like. You should try it some time. Get Freak to change your moniker to "08Gator". You won the BCS Championship that year, so you should like it.
Nobody likes a poser, dude.

gator...we get manhandled by bama ga and uf every year ad we aren't starkvegas.....I can't believe this ****. I was worried in 2018 when Tennessee scored two touchdowns. I gave Mullen a pass with it being year 1 and all. But, in 2019, Tennessee got in the red zone again and almost scored a touchdown last year too.
I told my brother right then and there, Mullen ain't the guy. Dude didn't even win the division at Mississippi State. Mississippi State! I was like how hard can it be. Yeah, beating LSU and Auburn is really easy when you're coach at Starkvegas. Hello, it's Starkvegas. And then, to get manhandled year after year by Nick Saban and Alabama. I mean, who lets that happen? You're Mississippi Freakin State. You beat Alabama 17 percent of the time. You don't think you could go out there and beat Alabama during the best run in that sorry program's history.
This is just further confirmation of the fact that Mullen ain't the guy.
I've seen a few fan posts lately saying Tennessee is being ranked higher as a better tailgating experience, has a better helmet and is competing for virtual national championships while Florida is out there doing.....what, exactly? Social Distancing?
Time to get your head out of your rear, Dan. Tick Tock, Dan. September is coming and JG isn't confused about both helmets having a "T" on them anymore.
I'm so done right now. So done.

I need to see 3 things before I’ll believe any UT coach can get us to the top 10.
1) elite QB development
2) upsetting a top 10 team in the road
3) not getting blown out by UF, UGA, & Bama
The winning streak is nice but the vocal leaders from the offense and defense are gone. Those guys will not be easy to replace.
Recruiting rankings don’t really matter this time of year since most teams don’t have a lot of commitments. Our current recruiting score of 259.13 would have put us at 12th in the 2020 class and been 2 points lower than our 2020 ranking.
Did I say otherwise? I was referring to @08Vol's comment that it was highly likely that Tennessee would never finish ranked in the top 10 with Jeremy Pruitt as head coach. I think that was suspiciously negative. I don't believe that a true Tennessee fan would be so negative about a head coach after just two seasons, who is on a six game winning streak and recruiting as well as Jeremy Pruitt currently is.Facts are facts. We have not been close to Mullen in the last two years. Show me and I will believe.
