George Floyd Protest/Riots

Tom Cotton had a good line on Sunday Morning Futures. About how crazy it is that people trying to re-open their businesses are getting arrested for it while people looting businesses are not.

At this point, it's technocratic and anti-Western/capitalist, would-be authoritarians.

More and more we're seeing evidence for what this is. A money grab. I've lost track of all the companies that are donating north of 7 figures to this movement. Lego was mentioned here on these pages. I got an email from Chipotle just a couple days ago. It really comes across as ransom money. We'll give you money, just leave is alone then and don't loot of boycott us. Here's the list, although it is 6 days old

Exactly. The word “bribe” comes to mind as well. Or “paying protection”. It has turned into a huge racket.

The one I find the most ironic on that list is Banana Republic lol.

I heard Michael Jordan is donating $100 million to the cause. I hope he can still pay his private police force.

Who's they? There's no spokesperson for white people. However there are certainly plenty of white people saying stupid s***. No shortage of that from any cross-section of America. Also that cop was a POS. He had 18 complaints filed against him and he should've been gone a long time ago. When cops aren't held accountable this is what happens.
Again you are proving you are simply a Shallow headline reader nothing more. While Chauvin may or may not have been a douche and what he did to Floyd was wrong (although still taught my MPS as ok), he didn’t have “18 complaints”. He had a few which were unfounded and he had 4 instances of using a weapon (3 shootings) which were all 100% justified. Not quite the same thing

Now that being said he seems to be a moron whose decision making skills lack critical thinking skills

Can't believe two of the biggest stories this weekend involve defunding the police and canceling JK Rowling because she dared say that menstrual cycles are mostly for women

Keep talking like that and I got to think there is some truth to this white supremacy thing.

That's why you video all interactions and know the law. You can't guarantee they will have body cam but you definitely can.
It also helps Not to break the law. There are legal remedies for those that would step on constitutional rights. Know the law. It is there for our benefit should you decide to use it.
Body cams help officers much much more than hurts them because it shows what the public is doing as well leading up to anything

That's very true. People can't deny what's happening on video in court. I've seen several videos that do not help the persons case as they were caught breaking the law. I think it is a good thing for officers to have.
