Texas Receiver Brennan Eagles Says He’s ‘Not Going To Play Another Snap’ Because Of Issues In ‘Society Due To Color’

Texas Longhorns receiver Brennan Eagles has claimed he’s done playing football for the time being.

Following the death of George Floyd, we’ve seen coaches, players and executives across sports step forward with statements and different actions. Well, Eagles is planning on boycotting football until he sees a change. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Bye.

And there you are AGAIN a continual part of the problem and never part of the solution

You missed my earlier posts apparently. A$$holes need not identify themselves . We know who you are from your posts.

People forming opinions based on a lack of understanding the difference between lawful and unlawful acts usually form the wrong opinions

And no the tear gas thing has not been disproven. All the right media tried to dismiss it. The CDC said it was teargas

Barr should be impeached

Every law abiding former member of the Trump cabinet positions should speak up before the next election. It won’t sway any righties on this forum obviously. Especially since some think Mattis is a back stabber. He continues to prove he is an American hero

Longhorns Coach Tom Herman

Several Longhorns have been vocal in addressing the national protests, with wide receiver Brennan Eagles going so far as to say on Twitter that: "I'm not going to play another snap knowing what's going on in our society due to color and the system being broken. Let's look at the bigger picture."

Herman has been supportive. He told the Austin American-Statesman the average fan can't understand what it's like to be a black athlete at the university.

"There's a double standard maybe a little bit," he said. "We're going to pack 100,000 people into DKR and millions watch on TV that are predominantly white -- not all of them, certainly, but most of 'em white. We're gonna cheer when they score touchdowns, and we're gonna hug our buddy when they get sacks or an interception.

"But we gonna let them date our daughter? Are we going to hire them in a position of power in our company? That's the question I have for America. You can't have it both ways.

There are a hell of a lot of entertainers that I wouldn't want dating my daughter. Also, I thought that we had already hired one (Obama) to a position of power. There are many in positions of power. If they want to quit football, nobody is making them do it. I can survive without football.

Should Barr be impeached before or after you morons impeach Trump again?

You mean those of us who believe in the Constitution? Or, Those of us who believe no one is above the law? You mean those of us who feel the Republican Senate made a mockery of a justice system by not permitting witnesses? Or those of us who think Barr’s characterization of the Mueller report affected the dumb downed public’s interpretation? Is that what you mean as the definition of morons?

Every elected Republican has redefined Democracy as “ fear to speak the truth against Trump”. Palace eunuchs one and all

I hadn’t thought about it like this before, but you are correct. I never hear anyone say something unflattering about Trump. He must have bullied them into silence.

I have learned that I can survive without ESPN, even when sports begin being played. The University of Tennessee may become too woke for me to care about watching them.

Every mayor of every city needs to instruct their police chief’s to rid their respective force of rogue cops

You don’t shoot tear gas and rubber bullets at American citizens who are breaking no laws by demonstrating peacefully. Barr needs to be impeached for what he did
How do you blame Barr? These problems have been going on for years.
As you point out the buck passes through the chiefs of police which are typically appointed positions, and in most current situations they haven’t come up through the ranks of those departments. The blame rests on the mayors and city leaders......and the police unions that protect the bad actors

Says the girl who thinks blacking out her avatar is heroic 😂 You can read the Dept of Educations ranking of schools in urban inner cities if you want to know their reading, math and science scores and rankings compared to suburban schools and private schools and home schooled children

Hint - Think of Tennessee’s football history Vs Vanderbilt’s football history
You don't know me. You don't know my family. And you have no idea what the symbolism of the black out Tuesday meant to me. And the fact that you don't care to know makes me incredibly sad.

So someone please explain how all policemen are always bad. In addition to the middle age white males, the police community includes women, gays, blacks, Asians, Latinos, immigrants, Democrats, Republicans, within the last several weeks, I’ve seen stories where they had “light” parades for kids birthdays, pulled people from horrible crashes, donated kidneys, and stopped assaults. But now that we’ve seen video of four officers in Minnesota assaulting a suspect, all cops are now bad...what gives

A black man died, therefore everybody is a racist.

Tom should resign and insist a black coach replace him.

You don’t know me either but yet you are quick to say I’m ignorant. And I’m sorry that your sad but I don’t understand why differing opinions make you sad. All I speak are opinions based on actual facts and observations
