Systemic Racism

C’mon dude. You’re really reaching. I’ve served in the military and can’t remember a single racist incident. I had worked at the same place 24 years and I promise we never hired someone just because they were white. It always helps to have a connection somewhere you’re trying to get a job at but your skin color is irrelevant.
I know you are either blind or lying if you served 24 years and never saw racism. I know for a fact there are whole divisions that are known for being full of white supremacists. I have several ex military friends, all white, that informed me about it.

The number of US troops who say they've seen racism in the ranks jumped to more than one-third in 2019

White nationalism remains a problem for the military, poll suggests

U.S. Marines lead charge in rooting out racism in military ranks

Wages but even more important in some places is the damn cost of living. Large cities are notoriously expensive and just about ensure anyone without a very high paying job will struggle.
This is for sure. Where i live isn't a large city, but in my position what we make is barely over the poverty line in our city

Probably in double digits on non answers today. Bet you will reach triple.

I'm not sure any group would want you as a member, other than to perform as cheerleader. You cant articulate any idea or position with any degree of detail.

Yeah, the cheerleader is definitely me and not these “don’t you EVER say this country is less than perfect” dumbasses

Some people enjoy being victims and that's not specific to one race.

There is racism among every group of people, of course it's only pointed at white people

Like I asked in the other thread, what evidence is there to suggest the death of Mr Floyd was race related?
If you dont think black people are treated differently by police then you are living in a different world and there is no help for you.

Hiring discrimination is a bigger problem. There are a ton of good paying jobs that don't need degrees but just a connection at the job or a hiring manager who likes you. Black people for the most part are shut out of those jobs. I know a ton of white guys with no education making good money.
how do you know they are not being hired just because they are black versus they just aren't a fit for the job?

They need to learn the hustle game.... several streams of money is the way to go.... I follow a bunch of people on Twitter.... the majority African-American.... they really got it going on.

That's the problem. A lot of hiring managers dont see black people as a good fit
again, EVERYTHING with you is about race. What if the managers said "this guy has no experience, or doesn't have the right personality for the job".

It doesn't always have to do with race, not every one is a white bogeyman hellbent on keeping black people down.

So in a town like Memphis where 52% of the police force are black, are we now saying that a majority of the mistreatment by police are actually black cops on black people? Or does that not fit the narrative. Serious question.

Didnt say that either

Basically this sums it up:

Since 2015, The Washington Post has maintained a comprehensive database of fatal police shootings in this country.

Last year, the Post logged 1,004 killings. Of the 802 shootings in which race of the police officer and the suspect was noted, 371 of the those killed were white; 236 were black. The vast majority of those killed were not in fact, ‘unarmed.’ The vast majority were armed, and Africans American suspects were significantly more likely to have a deadly weapon than white suspects. Yet more white suspects were killed.

Precisely ten cases listed by the Post in which unarmed African Americans were fatally shot by police. There were nine men and one woman.

There is a problem with police shootings in America. But the problem is not quite as race related as the media portrays it!

Thank you Catbone. This is a police issue not a racial one

Yet none of these affect a black man’s success in the military.
