George Floyd Protest/Riots

The current social unrest has got me thinking. With all of our tech advancements over the last 30 or 40 years, why hasn't there been anything developed which consistently provides non lethal threat abatement for LEOs to use? Something which could restrain suspect without requiring officers to be physical or in close proximity would be very timely invention right now.
Beyond a tazer, I can't think of any device currently in use

They do ..

Maybe we need tranq darts. Non-lethal, with the potential for being humorous.

Good for them
This what you chose Antifa, you arbitrarily decided free speach only applies to that you deem acceptable and then arbitrarily attempt to enforce those standards with violence you inflict on others. Remember, you wanted this.

I'd say that even peaceful assemblies can be broken up if they are blocking public roads.
I will agree with this, my rights don't end where you're begin and vice versa. You can protest, just can't block highways and interstates. Side streets we can find a way around.

The Fox News CEO sent a memo to all Fox News employees more or less intimating that they should be more like MSDNC and CNN concerning RACE.

I saw Harris Faulkner a couple of days ago chastise Lisa Kennedy on air for being too tough on the rioters, etc. You could tell by the expression on Kennedy's face that she did not like what Faulkner did to her.

Fox News is not what it was under Roger Ailes but I guess that could be another thread. As for this protest, where do we go for good coverage? I still don't understand what they want to gain? Better training for cops? I'll buy that as soon as someone shows me where in the training manual it says to put a knee into a suspect's neck until he asphyxiates. This is a rogue cop and his life is done. He'll go to jail for a long, long time. He'll get beat up in jail and he'll be destitute.

Do I agree with the joke literally in every way? No. Do I agree with the general message "**** off, we don't need your approval to protest"? Yes.

The first amendment guarantees the right to peacefully protest.

Looting and rioting isn’t peaceful. I have absolutely no problem with the peaceful protesters, but the ones who are looting, burning down buildings, and assaulting innocent people are no better than the tyrant cop who murdered George Floyd and if you support these rioters then you are no better than the 3 cowards that stood there and watched.

Because it’s a violation of the 1st Amendment. Why should these curfews be enforced if people are peacefully assembling?

Over the past few months citizens have willfully given up Their rights to the government. The left cheered and laughed when the police arrested citizens for going to church or the park. They used the same catch phrase as we are seeing now from the right “obey the law”.

No one, black, white, Hispanic, liberal, moderate, center, republican, or conservative should want the government to violate the rights of citizens. Whether you like it or not these people have the right to protest peacefully( the looting and rioting is a different story)

Americans will always be divided on some issues but protecting our rights and freedoms should unite every American.

That's the problem. They weren't peacefully protesting. Here in Cincinnati we've had over 100 businesses experience damage. That's not peaceful

Theyre not trying to gain anything. Its anarchy and lawlessness because they can. Its gather with your friends to protest because they can.

‘After George Floyd’s Murder, I Am Calling For a Declaration of a State of Emergency for Black People’

Yeah.......shove it, you racially pushing agenda driven twit.Public service LOL for 25 years........

"Systemic change would look like making sure that every dollar that we spend—whether as the state, the county, or the federal government—that it has an equity framework that is intended to help the most marginalized people.

I want to end with a message for black women: Figure out a self-care plan. Please nourish your own bodies. Breathe. Be in network and communication with your friends and your family. Set up pods, within the restrictions of the coronavirus, that you can use for support."

Jibber jabber political lip service....same 'ol same 'ol.
