Again prosecute for the crime committed. We can’t just go around shooting looters.

Are you really this dumb? People have a right to defend themselves and their property. Law enforcement has a right to do the same. Due process can be taking 5 hollow points to the chest. These morons should value their life more than participating in a fad or over a box of froot loops.

When did I say people can’t protect their property? All I said was cops shouldn’t just open fire into looters of the lady footlocker. You, and many others, think it’s what we should do. It’s a shameful premise. Every American has rights. Yea, if the cops or store owner shoot someone whose endangering them, all for it. I have been consistent on that. Shooting rioters is anti-American. It’s the same argument as gun grabbers.

I think technically we should all be anti-judicial system because that’s where the goat rope is at, rather than anti-cop, although I agree on don’t say anything.

Revolving door court systems have got to be frustrating as all hades to cops trying to do their jobs and probably results in a lot of the “bad” cop things we see. Either your hands are tied in regards to stand down mandates or you see the same perp on your beat over and over and the crimes committed escalate due to those get outta jail free courts.

It's nice to know the president shoved, tear gassed, and shot with rubber bullets peaceful protesters and the media just so he could have one of the most absurd, and meaningless photo ops in history. He even screwed up the photo op even more by holding the Bible upside down. This fool is a real POS!

I agree with VFH about not abandoning the Constitution, nor Posse Comitatus, but other than 1 or maybe 2 particular posters here....I think this is a made up conflict.

95% of the folks here dont want a bunch of thieves gunned down in the streets....as far as if they are looting an empty target store...but when a persons own business, or personal safety is threatened and they are present to defend it or themselves, deadly force should be used as necessary. I do not believe anyone would get in trouble for defending themselves or property honestly ..unless they just went nuts and started stacking bodies.

If you think for a moment the framers of this country and that Constitution would have stood by and watched all this craziness go down...then I dont know what to tell you. Hell, almost all the way up to 1900 we had cowboy culture over most of this country, and people were open carrying and the law was hanging people for stealing horses etc..
Due process is often something that happens long after the fact. I have been absolutely disgusted by what I have seen happening to peaceful citizens, as well as cops and guard members. Throwing gasoline on guard soldiers and then molotov cocktails? Should have been shot. Running over those 2 cops with an SUV?? Shot on site. Those 10 guys beating that 1 cop in NY with a metal chair?? Shot on site.

I live right outside Charlotte. 8 cops injured here over the weekend in very small rioting. Police chief came out last night and said exactly what he should have. We agree with yall, feel free to protest in peace....if it turns violent again, force will be met with force. These guys will stack bodies if it comes to that, and that's life. Try to hurt badly or kill anyone, including cops...be prepared to be met with deadly force in return.

This is common sense stuff, and completely not a violation of anyones rights to enforce the laws of this land. Almost nobody here wants murder of protestors or even looters.... we want the laws regarding castle doctrine, protection of life and property, and the legal use of PROPORTIONAL FORCE up to and including deadly force in order to put an end to this embarrassing, garbage display of violence and theft. I personally support ANYONES right to peaceful protest, as long as it is done in a manner that it does not infringe on the rights of other people to go about their daily lives. Thats it.

What if they use rubber bullets, or bean bag or pepper rounds? Are you okay with them using non-lethal ordinance on looters and rioters? Not talking peaceful protesters, but those openly looting, vandalizing, or engaging in violent acts?

At some point something has to be done. We have a right to bear arms not to riot and loot. Your last statement is dumb.

I agree with some of your points, but no one has the right to infringe the rights of others. That's not freedom. Peaceful protesters should absolutely be left alone, but not everyone is peacefully protesting. Something has to be done to stop those acting criminally. Lethal force should be the last option, but it shouldn't be completely off the table. People have been killed by some of these groups. Honestly, it should have been stopped on night one before it escalated so far. People are outraged because a black man was killed by a white cop, and rightfully so, but people should also be outraged that innocent people have been killed by people hiding under the guise of protesting. It has to stop. I don't want a bloodbath, but it has to stop.
