George Floyd Protest/Riots

I’m cherry picking here , but do you know why nothing was done to those protesters that walked into their state capital with guns ? Because nothing they did was against the law . They were allowed to peaceful assemble in their state capital with firearms .. by law .

Waste of time, some people work entirely off of emotions and ignore facts.

Do you think if same thing happened and they were black (with guns) that it would be okay? Like I said, I don't walk in another man's shoes, but they don't think they would be treated the same.
Well, IIRC, black men with guns were able to peacefully demonstrate at the scene of the Arbery killing.

Election day in GA, the black panthers demonstrated outside of voting precincts in South Atlanta fully armed. No arrests. Although voter intimidation is illegal.

I think it was more about him lying in the prone position with the officer’s weight on his back. Regardless of the exact cause, he still killed him
What really sticks out for me in this whole episode is the officer's total indifference to Mr. Floyd's condition. He did absolutely nothing to care for the wellbeing of his prisoner which he has an obligation to do, not only as an officer but as a human being. Once Mr. Floyd lost consciousnesses and then stopped breathing Ofc. Chauvin needed to do something to assist him such as repositioning/CPR. He did absolutely nothing, it's appalling.

He stayed on him even after they knew he was in need of medical assistance and the ambulance was called. The callousness is beyond understanding

There should be no question that the officers actions unjustly killed George Floyd whether it was heart failure or asphyxiation.

I'd still like to hear the officers take on it. Perhaps it's a point of focus in training. Perhaps more difficult than just a point but if it can be identified, all the better.

Weird, I keep hearing that these riots have destroyed/distracted from/taken over the storyline from the initial murder and outrage, but UT managed not to mention riots at all. They seemed to have no trouble getting the message.

Once again, the people talking about "distraction" are telling on themselves. "People will get distracted" = "I will use this excuse to tune everything out"
