The Atlanta Braves

You will miss Mike Trout (obviously) and the tier below him. There will be a significant drop from the high end SPs. But the other 85% of players? Very replaceable. It’s the hardest thing to do in sports but there’s a hell of a lot more people capable of being Marcel Ozuna, Ender Inciarte, Dansby Swanson, Nick Markakis, Folty, Soroka, etc than people want to believe when they’re shelling out $ to watch them.

Let em know $25-30M/year isn’t a birthright.
I'm old enough to have seen replacement players. You don't want it.

****ing MLB and Player’s Union, man. They are always concerned about growing baseball. This is not how you grow baseball.
It's insane that they'd have a labor dispute right now. Got to just agree on a short term deal and then battle it out next winter.

Au contraire, I watch the KBO.
Point taken lol.

It just comes off like a joke though. MLB got close to opening day one year with replacements and it looked like softball. NFL did it in the late 80s for a few games. I'll never forget a Monday night game where Bill Parcells was laughing his ass off across the field when Bill Walsh started running the Wishbone.

I just dont get it. Without playing the whole season players shouldn't get their whole salaries. Owners are looking at losses in the billions. The players need to get over themselves. Baseball is going to lose a lot of the few fans it has left if they don't come back soon

The players have already stipulated to prorated salaries. The arguments are over revenue sharing and how long the season is be the postseason... and that's before safety issues even come up.

Effectively, the owners want the the players to give up prorated salaries and guaranteed money and accept revenue sharing which the players are never going to do.

A missed season over $$$ will ruin MLB
