I want to do a thing, a really positive thing where you all post stories about our buddy Barrett so we can compIle them and send them to his parents. They're understandably devastated by his passing and we can help allay their anguish with memories of how kind and generous their boy was. I know there were many occasions where Barrett reached out to many OTB because dude told me everything. Let it all out. We're never promised tomorrow but we can make their tomorrows better by relating the best of our shared yesterdays with my brother Barrett. GO!

Well, he took time to find me in Epcot to meet and chat many years ago. Our paths crossed a few times that Disney trip as I saw him hauling his son from cool ride to cool ride.

Had opportunity to see him again (and you) at the tailgate. While hilarious, him crashing in our room at the Hampton is probably not best shared with the parentals. Lol

I'll start. At the very beginning of the coronavirus, I changed jobs. A big part of my new job was exhibiting our product in Costco until I could hire someone to man the booth. I showed up on my first freaking day was was told that they were shutting down all vendors indefinitely. Called my new boss who said, "we'll I guess we're take about a month off. I'll pay you part-time even though you're not working." Cool. Went home, called Dad. Called my sister. Called Barrett. He said, "jump in your car and drive to the Murf. We'll ride it out together." We threw football every day and hung out for about 2 weeks. Will never forget chilling with my homie one last time.

Perfect story. His boy is such a great kid. His parents will love this. Thank you

When I came to Knoxville for the Florida game in 2016 I was at a packed house restaurant with Ron Mexico and Loudmouf when Barret showed up a little late. We were all drinking and had had a good amount of food. When we got ready to leave I stopped the waiter and was telling him we needed to pay our tab and Barret handed him his card and told him he wanted to pay for the entire table’s bill. He also got tickets to the game for me, my grandson and his fiancé and refused to let me pay him for the tickets. He was a very fine person. When I lost my wife, my daughter and was diagnosed with lung cancer he texted and called me often offering encouragement and sincere friendship. He will be sorely missed by many.

Well, I was completely jealous of them as I worked the princess circuit with my two girls. Lulz

Lmbo. He did an internship at Disney after Ole Miss and has .... had stories for days.

Had to tell his childhood best friend today that he passed. He's asleep in the spare room after melting down for a while. Probably about the 50th person I've had to personally inform. Greatest honor of my life. Ain't heard one bad word about him. Great kid!

Played Golf with B several times. Once we played with @mcompton. At the turn B comes up and stands in between me and Comp. it was almost uncomfortable how close he was standing to us in a wide open area. I looked at him and said “what are you doing? He said “the corse marshal is following us and I think he’s about to say something to me. I want to be standing between you 2 taller guys if I have to talk smack” I asked “what did you do?” And everyone who knows B can probably hear him saying this in their minds, B said “Me? Nothing, why do you ask?” I laughed, waived at the marshal as he drove by and still have no idea what was going on behind the scenes.

I live in Ft. Myers and have for 22 years. Barrett responded to a post back in my early days here on VN, maybe 09-10 and said he or his parents, I don't remember, had a place on Marco Island and he would be down there in a week .

We talked on the phone once trying to set up a time and place for us to go out on my boat I had at the time, but I was dealing with a business divorce and I couldn't pull it off.

That's my only story about him other than our stupidness here on VN. He was very respectful towards me here when I talked about my addiction. I could always tell by his posts, his texts and that one phone conversation that he was one of the good guys. I now regret not making it to Marco.

I met Barrett at the inaugural Zone tailgate. I don't have a specific story, but I always thought he was a good dude and often heard tales of his good deeds.

Barrett was always supportive when I was going through my liver problems and eventual transplant. Took me out to lunch once when he came into town. Was just always a kind, caring person who would check in to make sure everything was okay. And would always join in on the laughs for all the BS our little zone/UG family spewed at each other. He was a good man, a kind man, and he tried to help people. His parents should take pride in that.

Figure you're keeping busy with all of this, but if you need/want to talk, call me. You have my number. And tell Crusty I say hi.

Not to make this weird, but I can try Ron through his son who is still in our CoC group. Ron quit.
