Aight, I didn't want to make @SLICKYINC mad and create another thread, but it's time to talk about this recruiting class. Let's get down to the details.

Nobody likes to look at our class and see 14 three stars. Our rivals are looking at that and laughing at us. TBH, if they were doing it, we'd be doing the same thing because we would assume, as they are, that these are low ranked players and not that great. So lets talk about these players and ask some questions.

First, we know that there are going to be some decommits. Now, I'm not going to talk about who may leave on their own because I'm not sure who, if any, will. I think these guys are pretty tight as they've all committed around the same time. But, chances are, one or two of them will. But because it would be dumb to speculate on that, lets talk about the other questions.

Who is going to get processed. I think this is something that is going to have to happen. I hate to mention names, but I definitely think you can take a look at our commitment board and see some long time commitments whose best offer outside of TN is FAU or something and know they won't end up in the class. Imo, there are at least 4 guys in this class who will be recruited over and processed, and maybe soon. I like Roc Taylor's film, and he isn't a guy we would normally process, but I do wonder with him being basically the same player as Nixon but probably not as good, and with us taking 2 other tight ends in Campbell, whom the staff loves, and Hudson Wolfe, if we might have to let him go somewhere else. Idk.

Now, here is the fun question. @HoleInTheRoof is right when he says that we do this every year, but which of our 3 stars will get bumps. Not all of them will. But we do know that some will be bumped. Barton Simmons said on Swain this morning that TN had the most recruits bumped in last years class of any other School. That speaks to our evaluation. So we had Hyatt and Calloway and others get major bumps in last years cycle. It will happen again. Not everyone will, but some certainly will be. So who will it be?

1. Rucker. There is no doubt in my mind that he ends up a 4 star. When you are the priority target for Clemson, Bama, LSU, Fl, and TN, you are an elite player. It isn't like he picked us over UCF. He picked us over three of the latest national champion programs and FL who is known to produce top DB's.

2. Colby Smith. This one is easy. He is already highly ranked on 247, Rivals just needs to upgrade him and, assuming they do, he'll become a 4 star on the composite. He's ranked 130th in the country on 247.

3. Tyion Evans. He is ranked the number 2 juco player in the country. Juco players are always rated pretty late and there is only one four star listed there. There is no doubt in my mind that Tyion is a 4 star before its over. I think he has a legit chance to push for top 100. That's jmo.

4. Miles Campbell. VQ said that our staff believes that Campbell is not only a good player, but that he's a DUDE. The guy has added 20-30 pounds and has not lost any speed. That demonstrates the athletic upside. GA came in late and begged him to commit and turned them down. I believe that with a strong senior season, Campbell is going to rise pretty high. In fact, 247 will update their offensive rankings the 3rd week of June, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him there as a 4 star player already.

Those are 4 guys that I would be willing to bet end up 4 stars in this class which would raise our average and our ranking considerably. There are others who could rise as well as I believe that Isaac Washington is severely underrated. But perhaps he needs a strong senior season. Jalen Wright is a guy who could remain a 3 star because he is raw at the position, but he has elite speed. So we'll see if he gets the Arian Smith treatment and gets a bump based upon his speed. Trinity Bell is a great athlete, but I believe he remains a 3 star because they aren't sure where he will play. That could change if he has a monster season on the defensive side of the ball. I also wouldn't be surprised if Brooks rises back up to 5 star status after he dominates his senior year and that increases our ranking again.

But anyway, these are my thoughts. What do y'all think? I know tldr.

Would be curious to get your thoughts @griddie and @MemphisVol14

My processed outs On D! are Jay Jones,Nate Evans and Edwin white..just because I think we will snag better prospects in the back field on D...we are Still in on a lot of highly ranked people on the Defense side and still offering which means they will luckily cut someone anyways to upgrade so they obviously feel good about them.

My Processed outs on O!...are Elijah Howard unless they are going to use him as a slot man which is where I think he’s better at and if you do that My next guy is walker Marrell!..(I know!! I know flame me) but I’m just not impressed with at all...I don’t think you process Roc unless you have to just because hes a Swiss army knive I feel like he’s tight end or WR and he has a big frame to still add on to...walker is just a speed guy one dimensional.Trinity bell will be on D at 6’7 and you can’t coach size or speed so he will stay...jaylen Wright I think says and they move him to a slot...to get him in open space..our RB position is just getting too full real quick so I think that’s where it will start.

As for my uncertain’s Terrence lewis and Dylan brooks and maybe katron evans but more so the other two.

Uncertain about what?

SOMEONE NEEDS TO MAKE THIS CRYSTAL CLEAR TO UGA AND FL----- We don't give a straight 'ish what you guys think of us, what star rankings our commits have, or where we finish in recruiting... UGA finishes first in recruiting last year and laid a turd and had to get a transfer QB, so suck it..... WHAT YOU NUMB-NUTS NEED TO BE WORRYING ABOUT IS THE ACTUAL PLAYERS WE ARE GETTING IN PLACE AND THE FACT WE ARE ABOUT TO START WHIPPING YOUR ASSES EVERY YEAR.... THAT, MY IDIOTS, IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE WORRYING ABOUT................................. GBO!!!!!

But, until we do, we endure. Soon......hopefully very soon, the top of the SEC changes back to Orange and White on top. Not just SEC East, the SEC.

I like roc better Nixon. Far more impressive film. Also hope we hold onto white. Dude is a ball hawk and can hit.

Nate evans and Jay Jones are for sure gone. Jackson and one of Wright or Howard will be gone too

We are about to start getting the Mims and Mondons and are going to have to process some kids out. AV said protocol and measures were already in place in anticipation of this happening and doing it the right and classy way. This tells me we probably have some silent commits or guys the staff think are in the bag already... can't imagine what the Uga and Fl boards will be doing once we get those types of kids and have to hand off the lower tier kids to them....

I think Howard,Jackson and walker should definitely go over Wright ...too many RB’s and not factoring what we have on our current roster now.better back field prospects we are in on in my opinion so nate Evans and jay jones are definitely gone, the TE’s are getting super full quick I like everything else..Roc should definitely stay.bell is on D.the staff along with @Bassmaster_Vol is high on Nixon so I think he’s safe.

Going by Harralson's offensive predictions, looks like Coach Duggs is expected to be retained. Looking to put up 50burgers every game with his air raid.

Hahaha yea no ****!..what a dipS**t making us a complete delusional laughing stock...he’s the reason why people stil make fun of us when we say “this is our year”...I hadn’t read it yet think it wasn’t going to be to bad of a take but holy f*** it was a full on @Catbone take and his aren’t even that bad. I couldn’t read it anymore that’s how bad it was

Enjoy the journey that we're on Bass

Trust the process here "worry about the one's we get not the one's we don"t" Coach Pruitt & Staff know what their doing just let them do their thing. I am not worried if we lose someone they will get one as good if not better. I am 100% sure the early recruits were told in advance ,Coach is straight as an arrow with them. I love the roll we're on keep enjoying it.

My hair is longer than it’s been in years. At dinner last night, my wife said I looked like one of the Thundercats. I don’t think she meant it as a compliment, but I’m less inclined to get a haircut now.

A normal dinner at the @franklinpence household:

I appreciate your enthusiasm, Coach Hoke, but your employment at UT ended over two years ago.

While we’re making predictions:

I predict Vols win the SEC and make their debut in the CFP in 2022.

Between Maurer, HB, and Salter - I have to believe we have a legit QB by that point.

Athletes all over the field. Strong lines of scrimmage. Pru and Ansley scheming up D and Chaney drawing up plays for the stupid amount of speed we’ll have on offense.

We about to be tough.

I think Magic had more of a killer instinct. If I had to rank LeBron as a Laker, he'd be fourth at best. Magic, Kobe, and Kareem would all be ahead of him.

there’s honestly no quantifiable reason to rank Kobe ahead of lebron and this is coming from a Kobe Stan. Lebron is literally better at virtually every aspect of basketball.

More efficient scorer, 3pt shooter, passer, rebounder, better in transition, defender, can guard more positions, rim protector... etc i love the lakers especially Shaq and kobe but man the NBA was really weak from like 95 - early 2000s. And the lakers took advantage of that, rightfully so. Some of those teams that made the finals Nets twice, 76ers, cavs, pacers, knicks etc.
