The Atlanta Braves

I can't consciously side with the owners, who are billionaires, either, but Snell's comments are extremely tone deaf. Not playing should definitely be an option for him, or any other player for that matter, that doesn't feel comfortable returning.

Scotty’s (RIP) boy prince fielder is going to be MLBs highest paid player this season

But the players sure do get the short end of the stick 🙄

Definitely needs to be kept behind closed doors. It is a little amazing how most fans side with the owners in sports labor disputes. Even when they lockout players, fans think it’s a strike and blame the players.
I will never in any circumstance feel sorry for a professional athlete. Don’t like the deal, don’t play. It’s that simple. There is no more gray area here than the factory worker who doesn’t like his circumstances. Have a problem with your employment? Find something better. Goes for any profession.

The problem is that the players are the product so they have a little more pull than that. Salaries have stagnated and what the owners are proposing is a de facto salary cap; something that they know will never fly.

I don’t like it, but I wouldn’t be happy either if somebody started talking salary cap in my industry.
