The testimony was frustrating to say the least.

At least Trump (and not for nothing, the majority of governors) have a plan. Opening back up is the plan. Locking down and saying the boogie man is gonna get you if you leave your house is not a plan, because it is no longer tenable.

The argument from authority days of this virus are over. We by and large understand the situation we are in. There's nothing a doctor can tell you about this virus that a statistician can't.

I don't think Fauci is some sort of villain or something. But the dude clearly has a vested interest to ALWAYS no matter what... Over estimate. He knows he is dunzo if he under predicts negative consequences. That's fine. That's the role of a doctor. Policy makers don't have that luxury, and Fauci isn't a policy maker.

Please don't misinterpret what I said as a slight to @zeppelin128 . I contest that Zep is one of very few Libs who have any decency about them. It's obvious that Zep is not a fan of the President and that's ok. But unlike most libs I don't think it's personal with Zep. It's a rare quality of the left

There were extensive successful studies in the mid 2000s using chloroquine to treat SARS. This is peer reviewed, published studies.
Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread

I didn't find this through any news site. I literally was researching on my own about the 2002 SARS outbreak. You would think after SARS that extensive ground work would have already been laid to deal with another outbreak. Therapeutics, etc.
And yet, the world is acting like this came out of no where? ********. A proven prophylaxis and therapeutic is suddenly deemed more dangerous after some knee jerk study? Sure. Then Remdesivir is being lauded? Where is the money to be made? If cheap and available hydoxychloroquine works, then remdesivir can't get off the ground.

Look it up.

I didn’t take it that way. I’m willing to bet that pretty much all of the VN PF posters are pretty good people and we would all get along pretty well in person.
