Heroes Act is about to be passed by the House

House Democrats unveil massive new coronavirus relief bill ahead of Friday vote

$3 trillion of money we don't have

This illustrates something I've said for years...Neither party is interested in fiscal sanity but the Republicans are much better. They passed a $2T bill but that wasn't enough for the Dems. They want to tack on another $3T. Those are our choices folks. One party that wants to spend $2T and one that wants to spend $5T.

People need to contact their rep and let them know this is a NO.

I gave you a like but honestly this is not the time to worry about fiscal responsibility. The government, that includes Trump and Republicans got us in this mess by acting like pansies and licking the country down. Now they have to get us out.

They have to spend whatever it takes to do so. I don’t want to hear about debt or anything else because the national debt is nothing but a number. So everyone gets another shopping $1200? Wow. That’s going to do what the last $1200 did absolutely nothing. All of our politicians can go straight to hell. They don’t have to worry because their lofty salaries are guaranteed by the sweat and blood of those they are actively screwing over.

The repubs are not at all better. Who signed it? At least a quarter of that first bill was free fun money for the ones in charge of creating it.

Wonder how this would go over if New Yorkers found out that Cuomo would hire have the tracers and Trump were hiring the other half.

Over 7000 apps for 2500 jobs. 2500 tax supported jobs to spy on people. Just what is a contact tracer, what are the duties and powers? This is so communist in so many bad ways.

I'd say private is only 1 step above a few public schools and several steps above most.
I think if public schools had the student body size that a private school did you wouldnt see as much of a difference.

Because they are smaller the struggling students are going to more likely to be brought up by their classmates in a private school setting. In a large public school there are more cracks for students to fall thru.

I'll tell you how we get out it: You put people back to work. Enough with the gov't bailouts. It's time to go back to work

I explained how the Republicans were better. Do the math.

The first bill passed 96-0 in the Senate and by a voice vote in the House. So both parties were on board for $2T. Only one party is on board for another $3T

It's politics and will never pass so the $3T is irrelevant when doing the math. The $2T was actually signed and handed out. You can look at the details to see whose hand was in the cookie jar for the first bill.

If they thought this out and applied aid properly and only where necessary form direct Covid/Gov't destruction of lives, then it's be OK. But, they are wanting to give money where it shouldn't be given. People that were already on welfare/unemployment for other reasons prior to CV19, received the extra bonus and tripled their weekly check when they were not even affected. People that held jobs paying 400 a week now get almost 900. The unemployment stimulus provided to citizens who lost jobs because of mandatory shutdowns should have matched the lost income, provided by verifying check stubs. It was irresponsible to double or triple incomes. I got a check, but would not have been offended if it only went to people that lost jobs as a direct result of the forced shutdown. I'm down to a 4 day week starting this week. I've been blessed. applied properly stimulus aid could cover that one day of lost wages, and that would be all for me and appropriate. But, since they blanketed everyone, the extra unemployment stimulus is running out and may not last much longer, so making 1000/wk, if I get laid off now I may only get 300 a week because they blew all the money making people richer than the job they held and ran out funds. the whole application of the aid package was sloppy. And that is a kind assessment.

It's irrelevant whether the $3T gets passed. It's a wish list for the Dems. If the GOP blocks it, God Bless them
