"Irregardless"........Just goes to show no matter how educated you become, you just can't take all the country out. I'm not following why you think that there is not a plan in place. The government too control of the ppe.

Federal government empties stockpile of personal protective equipment
Now , they have done a crapy job with distribution. If regular people would stop using the good mask it would help also.
The problem with testing seems to be our red tape. I honestly don't know what the President can do about it. If he could do away with making sure the test work before allowing them to be used, how many false +- before it would be worth it to rush them out.
His economic plan and the morons that passed it suck.

Irregardless is a word. Thank you for admitting Trump's done a pitiful job with PPE.

Private schools or home schooling, as is happening currently. Education existed long before government appropriated it.

My daughter attends a private school and it is not cheap. Not all parents can provide homeschooling to their kids. I received a public education so perhaps I am bias.

You can't knock public schools and also push for widespread home schooling. That would produce a much worse outcome, especially for poor families. The gap would be almost insurmountable

I received a public education, too. Anybody who has received a public education within the last few decades should see its deficiencies.

I think that would also lead to a lot of kids doing without a healthy amount of social interaction with other kids of their age.

How so? Results have been diminishing for decades and they've failed to even keep students safe.

Countless numbers of successful people have come from the public school system. Failed to keep students safe? So public school students have been killed at a massive rate? When? Where?

The gap doesn't look all that surmountable in the current situation. The only difference currently is that we're wasting billions of dollars on a failing system.

That has really hurt my youngest. He needs the other kids

It also takes away a needed safe space for some of our most vulnerable children. Can take one of their only sources of food too

You're not recognizing the gap that would occur within poor communities. The class separation would be extreme

Countless numbers of successful people came from a system that existed before government education. Never said anything about massive numbers of kids being killed. Government schools have failed to keep their students safe nonetheless.

Agreed, public school systems should be improved just like everything else. I just don’t believe widespread homeschooling would be beneficial. Sure, it could work for some but not the majority IMO. I had some very influential and bright teachers in Knox Co during my youth and don’t believe their tutelage could have been copied by my parents.
